Continental 109 Salon — Local services in Town of Eastchester

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I went in to get highlights, but the result was disastrous. Lucía, the person in charge of scheduling appointments, booked me with a stylist who unfortunately did a terrible job. My hair was burned during the process, and the few highlights that were done came out extremely light on the top of my head, while the rest of my hair—especially the inner sections—ended up a completely different color. What’s even more frustrating is that I was charged $315 as if I had received a full head of highlights, even though the work was incomplete and poorly done. I feel very dissatisfied with the service and the lack of professionalism. If I could, I wouldn’t give this salon any stars at all, but the platform requires at least one to post a review. I do not recommend this place for color treatments, especially if you're looking for quality work and safe handling of your hair.

After countless disappointing salon visits and showing the same inspiration photo to multiple stylists who just couldn’t deliver, I had almost given up hope until I sat in Violeta’s chair.

From the moment we had our consultation, I knew she was good. She didn’t just nod and say “yes” to everything. I appreciated that she was honest and realistic about what parts of my vision were possible and what weren’t. She took the time to explain every step, why certain things wouldn’t work for my hair type, and how we could still get as close as possible without compromising the health of my hair.

That level of care, transparency, and professionalism is incredibly rare. She clearly isn’t in this just to make a sale but she truly wants her clients to love their hair and walk away feeling confident and cared for.

And the best part? She nailed it. She gave me the exact look I’ve been dreaming of for years. Something that even many talented stylists I’ve tried in other salons have not been able to achieve.

Violeta is not only incredibly talented, but also genuine, knowledgeable, and truly magical at what she does. I can confidently say I’ve found my forever hairdresser, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I couldn’t recommend Continental 109 - specifically Mirela - more! I started coming here about three years ago, and have stuck with Mirela the whole time. When I first started getting haircuts here, I had fried, heat damaged hair. I always had wavy/curly hair but never saw the potential of it because I straightened it almost everyday for years and years. Once COVID hit in 2020, I made an oath to get my hair back to health no matter what, and Mirela has helped me every step along the way. Now in 2023, my hair is completely transformed, but more importantly, my self confidence. Mirela practically nursed my hair to health and I now have curls that I’m complimented on daily, and no evidence of heat damage in my hair. She made a point to make herself a resource to me, not just an 2-3x/year appointment. She constantly checked in on me, and was always available for any questions I had in this journey.
