Apple Cinemas Greece Ridge Mall — Local services in Town of Greece

This was my first time at the new cinema since it was remodeled. The only reason i’m even giving it 2 stars is because the remodel looks nice, and the staff that was on was friendly. My first complaint was when my daughters and i went to use the restroom before the movie. Not a single stall of the three stalls had a shred of toilet paper in them. End of the movie and still no toilet paper. As someone who’s worked in customer service for years this just screams lazy employees. It wasn’t like just one stall was out there wasn’t a single sheet of toilet paper in the bathroom. Secondly and more importantly what happened to the no minors without adults policy at greece ridge. We booked tickets all the way in the last row and there must be an area above that row because there was a group of 6-8 teenagers playing tag in that area and jumping in and out of their seats the entire movie. So loud we couldn’t even watch the movie we paid for. Completely disrespectful. We went with 3 kids between 6-9 years old and our children behaved well while these teenagers used the cinema as a place to act out without their parents present. While that isn’t necessarily the cinemas fault it kind of is for allowing young kids without parents in. These kids didn’t even watch the movie at all they just obviously got dropped off at the cinema to have “fun.” Lastly i sent my fiancé to get a cheese pizza to eat and the staff tried warming it 3 times and it was still frozen so it was refunded after he waited for 20 minutes and missed the start of the movie. Thank you guys so much for opening the first and only screenx theater in Rochester! It’s really surreal that we now have a local screenx theater, I’d given up hope that there’d ever be one in or near Rochester. It’s really good cause the trailers started at 7:30 and the movie started at 7:40pm, that’s a really good thing that the trailers aren’t super long here. Here are my final thoughts on this theater.

The screenx auditorium: I’ve been to 4 screenx theaters since before Apple cinemas opened and it’s easily the biggest and best one I’ve been to, it’s immensely better than the ultra AVX screenx in Canada and landmark cinemas. The sound is VERY loud and punchy to. Thunderbolts made me wince a couple of times, the sound alone is worth the price.

The ACX auditorium: The screen is clean and sharp, the sound is quite good to but this format Is only worth it when a movie doesn’t have any premium formats. If a movie is in IMAX, screenx, 4dx, or DBOX there’d be no reason to choose acx over any of the other formats I listed it’s not even any cheaper than the other formats to.

Standard auditoriums: They are very good to, most of the screens are quite big and the sound is still really loud to probably some of the best sound I’ve heard in any standard auditoriums.

But overall you guys will definitely need a program like regal unlimited, AMC’s A list or even cinemark’s movie club if you guys seriously want to compete. I will still buy concessions every time I come here to support the theater since you guys gave me the one thing I wanted at a local theater. it’s been 2 months since this place opened and I still can’t believe I can go to a screenx movie any night...

This movie theater is the WORST movie theater I have ever been to. When we first arrived, we entered a line for snacks before the start time of the movie. The employees stated that they had run out of popcorn, however the employee replied “I don’t know” when asked how long it’d be until the popcorn would be ready. When asked how the theater could compensate for missing the movie due to their mistake, the employee didn’t respond and just stared back at us. When we said we would go without the popcorn, the theater still tried to charge us for the popcorn. Once we arrived to the theater after the start of the movie (due to the inconvenience at the concession stand), there was a large line of customers waiting to enter the theater because one employee was still cleaning the theater. The seats in the theater were sticky, and trash was all over the floor of the entire facility. The bathroom was absolutely atrocious, and those floors were sticky, trashed, with urine stains under the toilets. Throughout the movie, there were incredibly rude and disrespectful teenagers. Management failed to take accountability with this problem, as they told my family that it was our responsibility to report the issue (as he had said he had many other reports, but didn’t escort the teenagers out of the theater). This was truly the worst experience I have ever had at a movie theater and will NEVER return. I highly suggest choosing another movie theater if you are expecting respectful staff, a clean environment, and a family-friendly experience. If I could rate this theater 0 stars, I...
