Hey Matt over 90,000 views of 1 photo of mine. Continued success This is a nice place. A little busier today which was nice, not too loud. Mixed crowd. Some watching sports, some families just eating. Same as previous issue of not really being greeted upon entering. My waitress came pretty promptly and asked me if she could get me anything. I needed to have a minute to choose because there was so much to offer. I always try to get something I've never had before. I wish she had given me her name. I ended up asking later. Came back and I finally ordered a drink and water and The Cajun Chicken Pasta dish. She tried to upsell me for salad or soup 👏 ... Access from the parking lot or from within the Greece Ridge mall. Decided to sit in a booth towards the back where it was a little quieter. It was like sitting on a piece of plywood it was so hard with no padding. Very uncomfortable to the point where it does not make you want to stay any longer than you absolutely have to Lots of TVs typically a sports. Waitress was very friendly. She took my order for a drink which was a Mule of the Month. One of the items in a Mule is supposed to be muddled mint. The mint was in the cup but they did not muddle it So the flavor was lost. I looked over the menu which had quite a variety of things. Prices seem a little bit high to me. Initially ordered the steak with mashed potatoes. She said let me go check on something. She said we are out of them. I said okay let me get the Chicken French then. It comes with the salad I think she said or vegetables. I chose the garden salad with an in store made, Cajun Ranch dressing on the side. The salad looked and tasted very good. It seemed to be very fresh. Although the taste of the dressing was good I was disappointed that it seemed to have come right out of a extremely cold refrigerator so it didn't flow over the salad very well. I basically got clumps of dressing here and there. The kitchen was very fast. I barely got into my salad and my Chicken French over a bed of pasta came out. Pasta seem to be cooked perfectly. A little disappointed on the chicken side. The chicken was tough, hard to cut. The flower batter was not crispy like it's supposed to be. It was very soggy. The French sauce should have a strong lemon taste with chicken broth, butter and a dry white wine. The white wine should not be overpowering. First bite I was like, holy cow that wine is way over board. It was a ok wine but it's not meant to be the dominant flavor. Overall the French sauce was not impressive. Normally I love either veal French or chicken French and then dip bread into the sauce after. When I was eating the pasta with the sauce It seemed kind of bland. I guess because the wine was overpowering. Decent portions. Again, waitress was very friendly and engaged. Checking to see how everything was on a consistent basis. I was kind of surprised that she did not try to upsell me on a couple things. Normally they would ask would you like another drink? Which she didn't do. And then also as I finished the meal you would expect them to say, can I get you any dessert? And that was not done. Potentially the business is losing out on increased income. And I'd really didn't think about it until after I left. There was a menu that sounded like it had some pretty tasty desserts. I probably would have ordered one had she mentioned it. The one interesting thing that I saw was that on the receipt it has a QR code and you can scan it with your phone and pay directly with that method instead of going to a cashier or giving them your credit card. The one thing at the very end that I was surprised at was as I was exiting there were three female employees standing at the hostess desk talking. I had two options of exiting near them. Not one of them should Thanks for the business or hope you have a good night or anything to acknowledge the customer. These small things make customer want to come back because of the good customer service. Most likely I would go back there because they have so many choices of...

4 Stars due to Server and Owner(I think) being so wonderful. Food was very surprisingly disappointing. TL:DR above, story below.
Since we have moved up here, this was a wonderful surprise when I saw Poutine on the menu. Prior to today's visit, the Poutine had been outstanding. Never a bad thing. Always hot, fries still crispy, curds flavorful. Gravy sooooo good and rich.
Today however, was different and why I'm leaving this review.
This was the most disappointing Poutine my husband and I ever had. It wasn't even 'gravy'. It was like oil and flour that broke, and was tried being put back together. Not a rich brown... it was gray and meh.
The sampler was overcooked, batter on the chicken was like fish fry batter and no seasoning at all. The chicken itself was juicy... but it was bland to taste. The Mozzarella fritta(?) was too thick in the fry batter and not enough cheese. Even the wings were cooked to death and tough.
The only real decent thing was what I got: The Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla. A lot of cheese, and the flavor was there.
I was very honest with our server, who seemed nervous (I don't blame him at all) and he went to get the owner. (I think.)
Even he(the owner) saw the items we were disappointed in and agreed that it was unacceptable that they shouldn't have left the kitchen.
That man was extremely considerate, comping us most of the meal (the bad stuff. The good things I paid for.) I took care of our server as well. (Gave him a nice tip, because I understand not wanting to argue with cooks especially if you don't know how to convey the dilemma.)
I guess, my advice is - help your servers be encouraged to speak out if they have a gut feeling something doesn't look right before it leaves. If the kitchen staff are poor at taking constructive criticism, then they don't need to be in a fast pace environment. Setting an example to have a cohesive back end to the front, taking in the good and the bad, is something that will allow everyone to have a great experience all around. Just be kind with suggestions and not yell or scream at people. The servers typically get the heat from both sides, even if it's something they really can't control if they feel like they can't speak up about something that looks bad.
I understand we are all human, and we have our off days, but some patrons most likely won't say anything and never return. Word of mouth is something that can help or harm a business. This will not deter us for giving BTB another chance. :)
My two cents here - Don't hesitate to speak up! Just don't be degrading, insulting, or loud. Everyone is there to have a great time with great food.
Thank you to the Owner (I think) for being so kind and considerate. Hope I can give you a 5 star instead of the 4 star. (I also took into considerations of our last many other visits, averaging it.)
Edit for the Response:: I guess there was some confusion on how I worded the top, but I KNOW that the server is not the owner. They are two...
Read moreThis was a four person get a lot of food and share experience. Walk in maybe 70% filled and had a 16-20 min wait. Got some beers and a drink from the bar. Bartender was knowledgeable about the beer and liquor selection which was probably the highlight of our experience and she did a great job. Got to the table and ordered our apps and entries if that's what you want to call them here. Ordered some fried mottezerlla, bang bang shrimp, and poutine. Fried mottezerlla was most likely frozen and then over fried. The bang bang shrimp was also probably frozen battered shrimp fried with some sort of mild aloi that was kinda sub par even for "bar food". Poutine, well I'm not the biggest fan to begin with so I didn't try it. However I do eat the cheese curds when friends order it and the cheese was fully melted which makes me believe it was just shredded mottezerlla. For our "entries" we ordered the chicken tenders, a cheese burger plate, and the Jocelyn pizza. The tenders were 4 whole breast's very deep fried. Some were still moist but mostly over done and dry. The plate was obviously ready well before the other "entries" as it was warm on top but cool in the center. And I'm referring to the burgers, home fries, and sauce. I will say at this point with the bar set low the Jocelyn pizza was probably the best thing to hit the table. The thin crust "wood fired" pizza with chicken, mottezerlla, ranch, and sweet &sour sauce was pretty good here. Probably mediocre elsewhere but it was the highlight of the day. Overall if you like bar food in a sit down environment you might be happy with your food. However if you want more than average at best bar food look elsewhere.
In response to their reply. I visited today 1/11/25 Saturday at 1:30pm. 100% not full and had to wait and good luck trying to convince me most of the food didn't come prepared off a Sysco or Palmers (being nice) truck. I'm also good and don't need you to "make it right". You are what you are strip mall food. Which can have a time and place just don't sell it as something else. Also reading your response to negative reviews you seam to be reactionary defending bad experiences instead of preventing them. Most people won't say anything is bad...
