I have a history shopping there and I know where to find things but for a normal shopper it is very disorderedized very fluttered and packages are opened in the store is a mess. Other patrons are openly breaking merchandise and taking it out and taking it out of the store families are doing it and it's very frustrating to watch. I go there because I find good deals and I have always shopped in places like these stores so I know it's about getting into the store early with an open mind and taking time to go through the department and dig through to find the good merchandise and spend a couple hours on a basic treasure hunt and if you have a free morning and money to spend with not a lot of particular products in mind you can go through and spend a lot of time doing a Treasure hun and come out with good deals but it takes a lot of time and you have to seep through piles of garbage and deal with not so nice co shoppers, and frustrated stuff. I'm a rare hardcore Shopper that enjoys the challenge and will advocate for people to shop with me to show them how to enjoy that type of shopping.
Update: I really appreciate you taking the time at Burlington to respond to my comment it makes me feel heard. And I know as someone who has worked in retail and spends a lot of time shopping. in this current economy its outright war on store. Shoplifters taking massive amount of items that don't belong to the people taking them. And if the shoplifting wasn't bad enough patrons are constantly vandalizing the place that are right that assorted staff can't keep up with. I know it goes beyond staff I know it goes beyond management I know it goes beyond the authorities in this town but some things got to give. I'm a positive person and I believe it will and soon I will continue to shop there because I love the clothes and I love the deals and I really do enjoy the people that work there for an honest living. Hopefully me modeling that behavior will have a small impact on others who see it and want to show respect as well. Slowly but surely positivity and good energy can make a difference than change the world continue the good work hopefully I'll see you when I get some...
Read moreI normally don’t waste my time by writing about what happened in the outside world, because I am a very private guy. Today I went to the mall and stopped by Burlington, the one at Greece mall, Rochester NY to grab a suit case. While I was there, I also picked a belt and men’s boxer. after that I went to the checking area; there was only one cashier – one customer was in front of me, as I was waiting to check out, one more employee – a lady with short black hair (I don’t want to speak about her color because I am strongly against it) came and called me to proceed to the cash register. I walked in to her and put my two items on the counter while handing the barcode of the suit case for her to scan. After she finished scanning, I asked her if I can put these two small items inside the suit case, she said “I will put then in bag”, and I said I am sorry I don’t need a bag, she started grabbing plastic bag to put those items. I asked her do I have to have a bag, and she responded no. after I paid my balance she started talking the security person over the walky-talky to monitor me -- she said “there is a gentleman walking out to the front entrance” I asked her why is she calling for, and she responded to me “oh it a policy”. Seriously!! What kind of policy is this; its invasion of privacy. It’s no secret that she did that because I was back. As I was walking out, I paused a couple times thinking should I go back and tell her that is not acceptable, and return those items, but I hate confrontation and walked out of the store and drove home This clearly shows that the store working environment is extremely biased, prejudiced and racially discriminative. The store needs to educate employees like her who is stereotypical, racist and biased with the people of color. I hope the lady who did this to me would regret that what she did was wrong and serve customers not the way they look, speak, dress, but as valued customer. I also want to advise anyone who is going to Burlington for shopping to be cautious and stand for this kind of non-sense discriminatory actions and if possible try...
Read moreThe ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I requested to place a few items on a 24hr hold and I would pick them up next day in the afternoon since it was so close to closing time and I would not have time to make it back to the store. The manager on duty advised that they could not hold them they can only hold for a few hours until the business closed and then the items would be returned back to the racks because there was no place to hold them. However I could write down a description of the items, style id and price, and call back in the morning to have the items pulled from the racks and held until close of business the next day. When I called in the morning I'm told "oh no I'm sorry we don't do that all we can do is tell you if we still have the items" Never had a problem with this place before but now it's ridiculous how they give the customer inaccurate information. WILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE ANYMORE AND WILL BE CONTACTING THE BETTER...
