AT&T Store — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Not the best Att, I’ve had service with them for 10+ years. Their customer service was horrible as soon as I walked in. I wasn’t greeted. 4 sales associate on the floor and just stared until Mary greeted me. After I began to explain to Mary I came in for a new phone, Adam which I found out was the manager comes and takes over which I found strange because when I walked in. I wasn’t even acknowledged by him. Mary is explaining the promotions going on and Adam continues to chime into the conversation. At this point I’m a bit annoyed because Mary was very sweet and Adam wasn’t allowing her to give me the proper service. I asked how much for the Apple Watch promotion. He tells me $1 which is false, Mary actually explained the entire details. Adam didn’t bother to ask the color I wanted just the GB went into the back came back and said only white. I said no thank you and he just walked right back to his desk with Mary tablet with his head held high happy he didn’t help me out. Unsure at this point if Adam was being racist or Mary was incapable of doing her job. Very distasteful service from Adam the manager at this store. He didn’t even bother to offer ordering the phone which I had another store offer me. I will never return to this ATT. This used to be my only location to go and update my phone. There used to be a friendly atmosphere there but both times i went to the store, no one seems attentive to a customer. There are people hanging out in the back and just chilling out and then there is the one person sitting by herself playing solitaire. This individual seemed bothered that I even came up to her and disrupted her game. Her tone was not friendly at all and just seemed over all finished with the conversation before I even left her sight. While she did give me my options as to what do do with my account she did it in a way that was very unfriendly. I'm not sure if she knows this but she's in customer service, she has to be more friendly in a service industry. When I told her what I was looking for, a new phone, she didn't even bother to go through the motions of pretending to look at other locations. I found an ATT store that had the model I wanted and I just googled it and called. She couldn't even be bothered to do that. So WARNING, if you see a woman playing Solitaire, leave her alone! It's not her job to help you apparently. Its to just sit there and play games on her phone. I'm done with that store....

I came into the ATT store and I was assisted by the most polite, professional and friendly salesperson that I have ever worked with when working with an ATT service representative. Tyler Brown! He assisted me with what I asked for which was to change a phone that had been giving me problems since I purchased it less than a year ago. It would take too long to explain ALL that he did to assist me, but he was the best and I am truly appreciative of his time, his extensive knowledge of the plans and services and most of all his patience.
