I feel robbed and scammed. I got quoted $25 for a clasp change on an inexpensive necklace. This took 10 minutes. I gave him two $20 bills (change is $15). And he gave me back $5 change because he TIPPED HIMSELF ??? The $10 he took is a 40% tip, which was not warranted at all. He did not do anything extra, did not clean my necklace, or give above and beyond service (literally just greeted me, and said “$25, come back in 10 minutes”).

Went to this jewelry store in person and asked how much it would be to have a watch battery replaced. After telling them the make and model they quoted me $30 and said it would take 5 minutes. I came back 2 days later with the watch and was told it would be AT LEAST $70 to replace the battery. I declined the service and left the store. I took the watch to another local jeweler and they replaced the battery for $10 with tax included!
