Great place, I go when I need gifts or a fun reward for my kids. Easy parking (free private lot). Great selection and super helpful staff- they do free gift wrapping, lifesaver. I really like that I can see the actual toys and feel their materials before I buy them, especially when I'm in a time crunch.

THIS TRIP STOOD OUT FOR A DIFFERENT REASON- Ive been shopping at toy box for years but this time around my son and husband stopped by to purchase a few toys instead of the normal mommy and son date. My son felt like he was treated differently this time he went to the toy box here are a few reasons why. It specifically stood out to my son when he noticed that the clerk took the money from him but returned his change on the counter. Once that was done the woman just stepped back as if the transaction was done. She didnt bag the item or even ask if they wanted the item bagged, this is an action figure set that is about the size of a book! So my son reached up to grab the toy and walk out of store. NOW, This is a story I am telling you as my 6 year old first grader explained to me. My son HIMSELF says they were treated differently and wonders why hes never felt like this about TOYBOX BEFORE???? Then he asks me is it because Daddy is black and youre white? My immediate reaction was ofcourse not and call the store to ask if they are still bagging their toys. In my mind I figured they have a new policy and probably wont bag just one toy. I would never think this store would treat someone differently because of their skin color BUT the clerk confirmed. They DO have plastic bags and bag just one toy. How do i justify any of these actions to my 1st grader???? My 6 year old son feels like he was treated differently because of his familys skin color and is now SAD that he knows what racisim feels like. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS SAD SAD...

Now that Toys R Us is gone, stores like this will get more support, and that’s a great thing. We love this toy store. It’s expensive though. They’re toys range from $5-$15 more than Amazon, or how toys r us used to price it. I was there the other day w my son to pick up a new Schleich animal. We bought an elephant for $17. I checked on Amazon afterwards, and saw that they were selling it for $9. That’s almost double. I understand that they are a curated store, but I wish they’d make they prices a little more competitive. The Melissa + Doug items are about $10 more than hey are on Amazon. It’s a great toy store to browse, though. My son loves it and we will definitely be back. I also love that it’s right by the park. So what we do is play in the park and if my son is good, we visit the toy store...

Extremely disappointed being this is supposed to be a place that “cares” about children. I promised my 3 year old one of these small eggs that are right by the door. Would have taken 2 seconds and I had the cash to pay. The locked their doors at 6pm i arrived it was 6:01 - when their website says 6:30 and wouldn’t open the door for all of 15 seconds to allow my son to grab this he was so upset after I only promised it thinking I had enough time to get there. I was shocked they wouldn’t allow a sad little boy in for 15 seconds. I won’t be purchasing another item from here. This was my 3rd time ever going there living in mamaroneck for years and I...
