Sybil’s is cozy, welcoming and run by a sweet lady who loves her craft. Housed in what used to be a 100 year old hardware store it has that lived in scent that automatically reduces stress and gets you in a relaxed mood to enjoy your experience. From the layout of the store it appears that Sybil gives classes or has a large table to congregate with other enthusiasts. Super nice owner and great selection of yarns. Store has been here a good long while and can see why. There is classes offered for both knit and crochet and possibly some other fiber arts. Check their schedule. Good pricing on yarns. Has a clearance section in back where found a couple balls of fun yarn to play with in addition several skeins of alpaca mix blend from out front as it were. We were in Cooperstown (from California) to watch our grandson play baseball. Our schedule was very busy and I had about 5 minutes to run into the store and quickly make a purchase. I looked around, saw a beautiful shawl - bought the yarn and pattern (Saranac) and was on my way. The owner was very helpful & gracious. I only wish I had more time to visit.
