I am writing to express my deep disappointment following a recent purchase I made at your store.

Yesterday, I bought a pair of vintage suede pumps with a two-inch heel. While they appeared to be in good condition and fit well when tried on, I wore them for only one hour today when both heels completely detached. This incident occurred while I was walking in New York City, leaving me no choice but to walk barefoot to locate a shoemaker — an experience that was not only inconvenient but quite humiliating.

It appears that the heels may have been glued on to present the shoes as being in better condition than they truly were. I purchased them in good faith, trusting the quality and integrity of your merchandise.

I kindly ask that you look into this matter and advise how it can be resolved. I am happy to return the shoes for your inspection and would appreciate a refund or appropriate compensation.

These are completely absurd reviews. First off one of the owners is a “quote” large woman second vintage clothing of which they have a lot just doesn’t actually come in very large sizes I’m sorry for all the overweight women out there but women were actually smaller n thinner 30 years ago n that’s a fact can’t be debated. Castaways is a used clothing store with some real vintage n we are lucky to have it bc the owners charge 30 dollars for a 2000 dollar sweater n a vintage cashmere sweater worth 30 dollars .. I tried to go to this store today at a little after 4:00. The sign says open until six clearly on the door. The door was locked but two people were inside. From what I can tell an associate, and the owner who was behind the counter. When I knocked the women shooed me away with her hand. Really? You must be doing really well in this retail climate to turn people...
