Sunset Chateau — Local services in Treasure Island

We stayed in room 611. Sure pictures looked nice. Wow when we walked in it was a different story. Outlet was stuffed with paper towel. Found out there was a water line behind it. Bottom floor bathroom was gross. Dirty around the shower. Microwave door was broke. Had to hold it a certain way to get it opened. Upstairs. Mini blinds broke. Bathroom was dirty as the other one. They wouldn’t return any phone calls. They gave us nothing but a hard time. We didn’t want anything other then someone to voice our opinion to. Well now it’s put out here. Renters beware. Oh yea and the elevator. (small one) would just stop working. I got stuck in it then all of a sudden the door popped open and I was on a completely different floor and didn’t even feel it move. Was a very interesting place is mild to say. The ocean view was AMAZING. Other then this we had a blast and celebrated our daughters wedding and our 44th wedding...

The floury beach sand is so soft that people want to take it by the gallons! There's parking and a coin operated washer/dryer on each floor. The publix supermarket is a five minute drive and gas station/convenience just around the corner. There's also a couple bars on the block. The building was built in 1974 in a massive concrete slab and it's still standing. It could use some updating mainly the elevators which sort of tremble just a little bit when they reach the sixth floor but luckily no one got stuck during our stay. There is a small pool and it's one of the only buildings that was built right next to the ocean about 12 ft away so it's literally steps away from the beautiful soft sandy beach. Every apartment has an ocean view and a spectacular sunset show so if you're looking for a beachy getaway you won't be disappointed with...

Overall the unit we stayed in was nice. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean however I do have an issue with maintenance as they are not quick to respond when called. We had a toilet issue and our screen door was coming off hinges (which was previously reported by the people before us) and as we leave today it is still not repaired. It would be nice if more towels were provided throughout the week as well. Be AWARE that you must hang your parking tag in your car upon arrival within 15 minutes or you will be towed as we were. The view is outstanding and close to many local spots in the area. I recommend Shrimpy's as a top spot to go to dine and CJs on the island for...
