White Buffalo — Local services in Truckee

I grew up in Truckee. The white buffalo back than was dedicated to Native American Culture. That was all that was in there when I was younger. You got to see the ambiance of history through their culture. Katchina Dolls, pottery, stones carved into animals, blankets etc. I went back way before the pandemic & the town of Truckee was ruined to me. This store was the ONLY place in town I loved, they changed the entire store & its a real shame. T shirts, hot sauce, that NOT how it used to look. We took a day trip from Tahoe to Truckee and were looking for a Christmas present for our parents. Immediately upon walking into the store the atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We found a wedding vase with a wonderful story behind it as a gift for our parents. The ladies graciously offered to gift wrap it and the young lady that did it did a beautiful job. Every one in the store was so wonderfully welcoming. I plan on going back one more time before our trip back home as there is another gift there I feel I have to have! I used to shop there 20 years ago. I still have jewelry from this shop. I've moved back to the area and was excited to visit this store as it used to be my favorite stop in Truckee. Now. The staff was rude, practically followed me around the store like I was going to steal something. I guess I was too casually dressed, t shirt and shorts.
