Let me preface this review by saying that it pains me to write anything g negative. But being in management myself, I understand the necessity of constructive criticism. My wife, three year old, and three month old arrived at 8pm and asked for a table outside so that we could have room for the car seat our three month old was in and not disturb the patrons inside with our three year old that never shuts up. We were accommodated quickly by the hostess. Our waiter arrived promptly and took our drink order. The drinks arrived quickly. They were both very good. He was attentive and helpful as we asked him the different items on the charcuterie tray vs the cheese tray. We ended up choosing the cheese tray because it came with fruit and as any parent knows, toddlers will eat fruit. We also ordered a sausage and kale pizza. The charcuterie board arrived quicker than expected. And while it was delicious, it only had two fruits on it that may have added up to a half of a small apple. The cheeses were fantastic, as were the spreads and bread. Just one problem, we didn’t have utensils, so there was no way to cut or spread anything on the tray. The hostess came out to clean up the patio(they close at 9pm), so we asked her for Ute sold and she obliged. Small oversight that I tack up to us asking to be seated in the patio and the staff having already begun cleaning it for closing. Understandable. The tray was expensive, but such is everything these days, which makes it so difficult to take a family out to eat. The pizza arrived right as we were finishing the cheese tray. It was amazing. Can’t say enough about the pizza. I’m a fan of spice, so I looked for the pepper flakes. They weren’t on our table. Luckily, there was a shaker on the bar window behind us, so we grabbed them ourselves. Again, probably an oversight from closing procedures. Not a big deal. When we finally paid, the waiter - who was exceptionally kind and friendly - reached over my toddler and wife to grab the bill. It startled us a little bit. I went to eat the last piece of pizza and reached for the pepper shaker and it was gone. At some point either the waiter or the hostess had removed it from the table unbeknownst to us. Whatever. I ate the pizza as is and it was still delicious. As I stood up, preparing to leave, he grabbed three or four pizza crusts from in front of my son, in a hurry to clean up the table. This bothered me because he didn’t ask, he just grabbed them. Getting my son to eat anything at a restaurant is difficult, but he likes bread crusts. We would’ve taken them home with us. It just seemed like the staff were trying to go home, despite them having at least six more tables seated inside. My wife didn’t even realize he had taken them and asked me if I had grabbed the crusts. It was that quick. We got into our truck to leave at 8:58, 2 minutes before closing time. We were the only it family on the patio, but there were still many people inside the restaurant. I write a lot of Google reviews, so I did not post this review because I had a horrible experience. I actually didn’t. But I left feeling confused and disappointed. Again, the waiter was very friendly and genuine. He shouldn’t be reprimanded for any of this, but perhaps it can be insightful for future reference. For those curious about costs, our order was a full cheese tray, one pizza, one mixed drink, and one beer. Total after tip? $115. On that note alone, we probably won’t return. However, it was a delightful place with good food and a warm atmosphere.

Oh my goodness! There is so many great things to say about this place. Let's start with our waitress, Courtney. She was AWESOME! She was super nice (we had 5 kids with us ranging in ages from 13 to 6). She was patient with the kids and answered all of their questions and had a great attitude. We went during happy hour which had some great options. I wish I'd of sprang $2 more for the shot of whiskey bc 5 kids...whooo mama needed it 🤣 We ordered the hummus and flatbread snack, it was very flavorful and the flatbread had a nice texture and had some spices on it that brought out the flavors of the hummus, which had pistachios and kalamata olives on top. Super yummy. We chose to stick to pizzas since we were on our way home and had a 3 hour drive ahead of us, so it came out promptly. Pork belly and Padron was AMAZING! it had an amazing flavor with the honey. We also ordered a meatball pie. I'm super picky about meatballs and these balls were nothing less than absolutely perfect. They weren't overrun by fennel like some balls. The other two pizzas were aimed at the kids, cheese and pepperoni. As mundane as that sounds they were awesome also. The pepperoni had a great flavor and the cheese blend they use must've been made by unicorns because it was some of the best I've had. Now, let's talk about the crust. It was thin and not overpowering. The crust didn't take away from the magic of the toppings but added to the party that was going on inside my mouth! I will definitely be back next time I come to Truckee! Thank you Courtney! ❤ Update: 5/21/22 Still AMAZING! Their cocktail menu is superb! Creative AND tasty! The hummus is fantastic! The pistachios taste super fresh and their olive oil is smooth. I would like to see a collaboration with their equally fantastic neighbor, Tahoe Oil & Spice. I'm NEVER disappointed in their food or their service. 5 stars, as usual!

One star for not following covid guidelines: the man who brought our pizza was not wearing a mask, then we found out all the employees inside take off their masks: the bartender was talking to people at the bar and none of them wearing masks.. the chefs are not wearing masks! This means that the food could be contaminated and our whole party realized this after eating. We do not recommend this place during covid. Also note that the restaurant does not refuse customers asking for tables without masks. This town has many people walking around without masks which is also alarming. We are going to be on high alert watching symptoms after this visit. We are not going back. I do want to note that the menu is very limited to salads and pizzas as the main entrees. The pizza was nothing to write home about. Price was ok. Very crowded outside, not sure if distanced properly. Not recommended.

Everything was excellent. We had a great server who had drink recommendations, kids food recommendations and was super patient for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We went around 5pm and had a 45 minute wait quoted that ended up being 35. There are coffee shops and an ice cream stand nearby if you need to kill time. We got mac and cheese, margherita pizza, street corn pizza and meatball pizza. All three were perfect - I preferred the flavor mix of the street corn pizza, but enjoyed them all. Brussel sprouts and hummus plate were also excellent. We got three cocktails and they were all solid: sweet tea and whiskey, pineapple mezcal and watermelon habanero. Kids were happy with plain shells pasta and mac and cheese but no dedicated kids menu. Would return without hesitation.

Stopped at this place after a day of snowshoeing. They had plenty of outdoor seating with people being socially distanced. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. The best part was the food. I ordered the fried brussel sprouts and the Cesar salad. It was delicious! I loved the crispness of the brussel sprouts. The crumbled croutons were a nice touch so that there was a crunch to every bite of the salad. My friends had a margherita pizza and a mushroom pizza, which they reportedly enjoyed. The food server was attentive and friendly. The bathroom was clean. Great place to stop by if you’re in town!

Just ate here on a Saturday evening around 6:30. We saw some people waiting for the hostess so myself and my guest just went for the bar. We were quickly served and all the bar staff were always smiling and kind. We ordered drinks, I just had a seltzer and my guest a glass of wine. It was from the tap (Pracher I think it was) and could have been more chilled. We ordered the burruta starter and the mushroom pizza. She suggested adding sausage which was delicious. The pizza came quickly but she forgot to put in the burrata so we didn’t end up getting that. Really tasty meal! Good ambience too.
