Tybee Beach 18th St — Local services in Tybee Island

We love Tybee however I do not recommend going on a holiday weekend. Our towels, chairs, and umbrellas were stollen when we went inside for lunch. There were about 5 rows deep of chairs & people on the beach. It was difficult to walk from the water back to the street without touching someone with our floats & beach gear. This beach is gorgeous! But on top of that, it’s so clean!

My favorite part about it is that the sand is more compacted so you’re actually able to walk the beach. I’ve been to Navarre, Pensacola, Orange Beach, Palm Beach & Gulf Shores and I always sink down in because I walk on the outsides of my feet so even though I LOVE the beach, I don’t get to enjoy it much. Came here for Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Completely overcrowded beach. Multiple people were blasting their music at the same time which makes it unbearable to sit on the beach sometimes. They really should ban radios, it ruins the experience for everyone else. No where to park and a constant stream of cars driving thru ALL day. There aren’t a lot of places to eat and the restaurants they do have aren’t good; all fried and fatty bar food. Probably won’t...
