As a frequent shopper at sprouts here in the high desert and in my previous town of west hills. I had always received great service. However, today I went very quickly to purchase a few snacks and lunches for my kids school. My kids came along for the trip. My kids love using the self check out feature and being that it was late at night and not a lot of customers I decided to let them help me scan the items. This was a learning experience for them as well as for myself because not even 25% of the items were scanned and I’m trying to ensure all items get scanned properly, the very unprofessional security guard approached me and asked me if I forgot to scan the sushi. I looked at him baffled because I was still in the middle of scanning the items on my cart and the belt I informed him if he saw me bag the sushi as the sushi was sitting waiting to be scanned to the left of me. He then says I’m just asking? Since when do people accuse others of stealing while they are still in the middle of scanning their groceries. This makes absolutely no sense. Secondly the very incompetent self check out rep if she really wanted to be of any assistance she could have offered help at one point I had waived at her because I needed her assistance and she pretended she did not see me. Moments after the security approaches me to ask me if I’m trying to steal $8 sushi’s? In other locations there is always a person asking if we need assistance instead of sending a security guard to try to intimidate me and my kids. Sprouts I’m really disappointed at the unprofessionalism that was displayed today. No one should be accused of stealing while they’re scanning their groceries. If this is an on going issue for your company please do better and remove this self check out feature and save yourself the headache of falsely accusing paying customers. I’ll be gladly taking my business elsewhere moving forward as I do not appreciate the lack of professionalism and lack of support shown...
Read moreLet me preface by saying I LOVE Sprouts. I have shopped at the Rancho Cucamonga one for over 6 years and I have never had any issues, the store is always clean and stocked, the staff are helpful and friendly, the products are amazing. I was thrilled when one was built in Victorville. I did not go when it first opened to allow the crowds to wear down and for them to work out any business problems when first opening a location. I have not been physically inside this store and have only used curbside pick up. The curbside pick up is a nightmare at this location. Both times I put in the app I'm on my way. I live 30 minutes away from the store in traffic. When I get there I don't even have time to enter that I'm there before an upset staff member is outside waiting for me. The first time wasn't as bad, but yesterday the woman didn't even let me park and just started handing me bags while I'm idling in the aisle! She put blame on me for whatever the app shows the staff. I had literally just arrived and she was asking a white suv if the order was mine when my car description says grey car! I couldn't believe it. I had another order scheduled for pick up today and they just rescheduled it for 9-10am tomorrow. I'm at work at that time. I guess the only way to get things done is to do them yourself. Do better Victorville staff!
Edit: 1/29/25 I went into the store for the first time and it is much smaller than the Rancho Cucamonga store with many items either not in stock or not carried at this location. I couldn't get more than half the items on my list. For those who have left reviews on the security guard being racist or whatever, you need to get over yourselves. The guy was looking me up and down the entire time I entered the store and while at checkout and I'm a white female. That's his JOB to make sure no one...
Read moreToday, I went in with my special needs child. I noticed I wasn’t getting service on my phone to unlock my card, so I had to return to my car, where the services worked better. When I did return, the African American security guard followed me throughout the store the entire time I shopped. It was the most uncomfortable feeling. My son noticed and asked why the guy was following us. So I called my brother from the car to meet my son at the door because I didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable for the duration of the time. Now, I continue to shop when I know I should have taken my business elsewhere; however, my children have a strict diet due to medical issues, so I had to get these vegan and gluten-free items right away. When I was near the freezer aisle, the security guard passed by and leaned over to look inside my Gucci Bag! Ugh, I am so repulsed at the violation this guy displayed! I saw him in every other aisle I walked on. Until I checked out, he stood behind me at check out and watched me pay for my items. It was so creepy and uncomfortable. This review is not to aid anyone in losing their job; however, there must be a system in place where you all are training your employees not to be stereotypical, biased, and judgemental. I paid debit/cash, brought my own bags, and was respectful to all the workers who assisted me in finding items needed, including the young ladies who rang up the order and packed my bags. I don’t understand why I was treated as a threat. I am a new homeowner in Victorville and wanted so badly to patronize this business, mainly because I was tired of driving down the hill to get the things I needed from farmers' markets. Still, I will never revisit this location just because of the way your security guard/officer...
