Took my border collie for a bath and a cut today. I usually go to another place but when I picked her this last time she was so stressed. Her attitude was so different. I decided not to go back. My sister suggested petsmart. So we made the appointment online and went in today at 12. Around 2 I got a call that maddie wasnt cooperating. She wouldnt stand up for them because she was scared. They had completed her bath but she wasnt easy to dry and they worried if they started the cut she would lay down and they wouldnt be able to do her belly correctly and she would look funny. I went in and spoke with them and asked if they could try and just do their best. Her hair was so long she would pick up stickers and thorns and bring them in the house and try and chew them out and would get mad and rip the hairs out so anything would be better than nothin. Dezzy went ahead and finished and Maddie was good as new! We're home and shes relaxed and you can tell she feels so much better with all that hair off. I also now realize that her not standing was a problem at the previous place bc of the longer hair left near her chest. I just wish they could have been like petsmart and called and told me instead of hide it. Thank you again Dezzy for taking your time with her. Shes Ot stressed or pacing or skidding. She came home ate and is now napping. ;) To add. .. I took my dog again last month (June 2021) and Sara did an amazing job. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently moved to VV, previously I took my dog to the Apple Valley location because my one visit to VV they took 5 hours to groom my dog. Apple Valley Petsmart groomed her much faster, so we went there.
I recently moved to VV and decided to try this location again. The first time was fine (despite the time), the second time I just booked her for a wash and dry but paid the additional $35 for the highest package and selected Chi shampoo.
I always tell the person checking her in that my dog is prone to ear infections so she had to have her ears completely dried.
When I picked her up, her hair was curly (miniature poodle), so I already knew she hadnāt been brushed out, then when I put her harness on I felt her damp ears. I tipped the groomer and left because I didnāt want to make a big deal about it.
When we got home though, he smell was so offensive I couldnāt determine if I was allergic or if it was just extremely gross. It was clear they didnāt use chi shampoo.
I contacted corporate and they arranged with the store manager for another groom. The store manager and the groomer Taylor were great and my dog came out wonderful.
2 weeks later I rebooked with the manager of the salon and 20 minutes before our appointment she canceled my appointment virtually. No call to reschedule. Itās apparent the store blacklisted my dog even though my complaint was literally about the groomer not using the shampoo I paid extra for. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store is always clean and well kept and staff are very friendly and helpful, however as in any PetSmart location I've ever been to is usually understaffed. There are few to no available employees on the sales floor to assist customers in need. If you are unable to find a product, often times you end up having to ask the cashier for help and because there is usually only one register open it is difficult for the cashier to get to you immediately or within a minute or two and I've more often than not have had to wait for anywhere between 10-30 minutes to get the help I need. And I never treat the cashier rudely because I'm aware that it's out of there control on scheduling of employees available on the sales floor to assist. The 3 stars are to hopefully motivate PetSmart to concider adding at least two additional employees during the morning and the late shifts to alevate stress on the cashiers having to abandon the register to assist on the sales floor and to often ultimately being treated rudely by the next customer waiting at checkout for the cashier's return. It's a little bit of a broken system that needs some improvement. Otherwise, I love this place and despite the issue stated I will continue doing business...
