Love this store and what it represents. Nice to know that it's christian based. However, as a man I was disappointed with how I was treated. I don't feel comfortable going in to stores like this all the time. I have anxiety and am known to be hyper active. In my opinion mostly women shop here, the men are usually in here with their crafty wives or significant others. That being said, I wish the lady wouldn't of snapped on me the way she did when I accidentally interrupted her as she was assisting another customer at the sewing counter. I had a couple of simple questions to ask, first where was the fleece material, next does she think a navy blue matched the other print of fleece I liked, and lastly did the black fleece look better than the navy blue fleece. She totally bit my head off, then embarrassing me in front of the other patrons. I would think a job like this to be therapeutic, no need for any attitude. When it was finally my turn and by the way I was there to make a tie blanket. All I needed was a little womanly advice. She totally recognized how she treated me as well how I felt. I'm just glad I had confidence enough to get what I needed and get outta there. I'd like to see how she'd feel walking into a men's department store and receiving the treatment she gave me. However, I'd just rather her acknowledge what she did and change it so that her response to any patrons will never be this way again. And If she was having a bad day or something serious going on in her life. That God would bless her and her family in a mighty way. If I was in the wrong...
Read moreThere were 3 cashier's open....about 3 people in line for each...one cashier was obviously more experienced because the other 2 were asking her questions, so instead of her helping her line while the front end manager was standing right there in front of them, she continued to help the other cashier's before helping her line. I was waiting in her line. I stood there for a minimum of 10 minutes. Another cashier came and opened and per the front end manager she pulled people that were just getting in line. The front end manager had seen me standing there for longer than everyone else and told another customer not to worry because everyone gets their turn. Another manager walks up and opens another lane to help an employee who was off duty. When I contacted the store to complain, I was given the line of we will address the problem....was also told that employees are not allowed to stand in a regular line....when I brought up that she just walked up and there was numerous people in line at this point I was told it's their policy. My only issue this whole time was that the front end manager saw me standing there that whole time and didn't even bother to address the issue that people weren't even in line and were getting checked out of the store before me. As a manager, you should be aware of the lines you are in charge of. You should also be helping your newer employees and let your cashier's help their lines instead of helping everyone else. Please get...
Read moreI had JESSIE as my cashier. She was very rude. My 2 year old son had pulled a package of candies out and they all completely slipped out. It was a package that was opened already. My son doesn’t know how to open packages. I gave the candies to Jessie and told her my son pulled them out but they all slipped out because it was opened. She looked at me and said “are you buying them?” I said no because they were opened already and she made a face at me and rolled her eyes as if she didn’t believe me. I again told her I know my son and he doesn’t know how to open packages. Then my son has a chocolate bar we’re going to buy and I give it to Jessie so she can scan it. My son starts crying because he wants the chocolate back and she says “can you give that to him please” As a way to make him stop. And another employee next to her was actually nice and said “doesn’t it make you feel bad when they start to cry because we have to take it” and Jessie replied “I don’t like when they do that” . “THEY” as in kids.obviously she didn’t care if we were listing. She is very unprofessional, very rude. If you’re in retail you should understand you will often hear kids crying ! Be a understanding human and don’t make people feel uncomfortable. Worst experience at hobby lobby due to this really...
