Rewards Program Refused - Unacceptable!
I am disappointed with this 7-Eleven location. While the staff member was perfectly nice and even smiled during the transaction, she outright refused to honor my 7Rewards program benefits.
I entered my phone number to apply my rewards for a purchase of two drinks. To my surprise, she removed the applied rewards and proceeded to charge me the full price. Not only did she reject the rewards discount, but she also failed to give me credit for the purchase towards future rewards. She said, we don't do rewards here.
This is unacceptable, considering the 7Rewards program is a corporate service. If a franchise location chooses not to accept the corporate rewards (which, for some members, involves a paid monthly subscription like the \$9.99 '7NOW Gold Pass' or similar tiers), there should be clear and upfront notice to the customer. This lack of transparency is misleading at best.
It is now clear why this store has such a low 2.1-star rating on Google. I urge 7-Eleven Corporate to step in and address this issue and other issues customers have pointed out, as this practice reflects poorly on the brand.
Consumers rely on consistency of corporate programs, and this location is severely...
Read moreI went here to buy a pizza, as there is a nationwide promotion setting the price for a full pizza at $5.99. There are two other 7-Eleven stores within walking distance that oblige this coupon, as does every other 7-Eleven I've been to across the country. Apparently, the management considers themselves above this though. I was charged almost $17 for the pizza. I tried to input my number for my rewards, but they have the touch pads shut off so that way you can't. Instead they ask for your phone number to input themselves, but when they do it doesn't apply any rewards or coupons. The price gouging goes further than just this, as I've asked a couple times why every item in the store is significantly more expensive than every other location I've been to. However, I was met with confrontation each time and after reading the previous reviews it doesn't surprise me.
DON'T waste your money here. I'm genuinely trying to help anybody who reads this review.
Do. Not. Spend. Your. Money. Here.
We need to work together to put these people out...
Read moreI work down the beach and head gone to this 7-Eleven a couple years ago. At that point I felt like I was overcharged for everything. Today I went in for a fountain big gulp. They are $1.07 using your rewards number. I buy a lot of diet Cokes from 7-Eleven. Had already purchased two from two different 7-Elevens today. I get there and she rings it up and tells me a $1.80. that in itself is more than all the other ones are charging at regular price. I then try to reach around the items covering up the screen to enter my number. She realizes what I'm going to do and says she can enter it for me. I give her the number and she puts it in and then says $1.80. I corrected her and told her it's supposed to be 107 with the promotion. She says yes it took your number I don't know what's wrong but it's $1.80. I reluctantly paid it but it can't be coincidence that I've only been there twice in 2 years in both times I felt like I got ripped off. This is a good 7-Eleven to steer clear of. All the rest on Atlantic avenue are good. Just an FYI...
