Read moreI have shopped here and always loved the store. Yesterday I bought a green Christmas garland, amongst other things. It was wrapped in cellophane so I could see it, but I didn’t actually touch it until today. I took the cellophane off and noticed that it was broken in the middle- actually twisted so that it wouldn’t/couldn’t lay flat. Half of the decorations faced one way and the other half the other way. I took it back to the store this morning and was told that I should have noticed the sign that said seasonal items were not returnable. She then pointed to a sign (which I obviously didn’t notice) and said “sorry”. I mentioned again that it was non-functional and she once again said “sorry”. I said “so I’m just out my $38?” and she said “yes”. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to and she replied that there was nobody, but that anyone else would say the same thing! I am so very disappointed as it’s been my go-to store for gifts for several years as I live in Walnut Creek and it’s convenient. I will never again set foot in that store!...
Read moreI made a return here today after I made a return at the Brighton Jewelry store a few doors down. The man, the owner, shorted me .09 cents on a return I made. I had my receipt. I paid with cash when I purchased the gift. Nothing was wrong with it and it was still in the giftwrap they wrapped it in after I bought it. He said the taxes have gone up after I bought it so I wasn't getting back what I paid for it. I think I should call the IRS and let them know. Brighton Jewelry gave me back what I paid for their item before the taxes went up. I find this so tacky that I had to post this to let people know. So sad too because this was my favorite store and I have spent a lot of money here over the years. It was only .09 cents so no need to argue for my pennies. It's easier just to go public with it today. Thank you...
