Had an unfortunate accident at the gym where a weight dropped on my iPhone 12 Pro. This cracked the screen, slightly bent the frame, and resulted in the side button being stuck. Due to this, the phone stopped working and went into recovery mode. I could not get the phone to recover properly at home, and was nervous about losing data as the phone had not been backed up in over a year.
I dropped into the shop with no appointment and Yama was ready to assist me immediately. I briefly explained the issue and he knew right away what was causing the problem. I left the phone with him as he wanted to tear it down and confirm the issue before completing any repairs or giving me a quote. He called back in less than 30 minutes and laid out the options clearly with pricing, and was very upfront about what the work would entail (he had to intentionally create a small blemish on the frame to repair the side button which I was onboard with). The repair work was completed within the next 20 or so minutes and I picked it up. After I got home, everything functioned great and the phone worked as expected, with the caveat of the display being slightly lower quality than the original. When he called me initially, Yama gave me two options - standard or premium screen. I knowingly went with the cheaper option which was the standard screen, so this is on me. It did not impact functionality at all, but more so just display quality. I am picky, so I called Yama back apologetically asking if I could upgrade to the premium screen. He was extremely accommodating and told me to come back down. Again, he assisted me immediately, and swapped the upgraded screen in for only the cost of the part he had originally quoted, me and no extra labor charge. It was done within 10 minutes while I waited.
I was very impressed by Yama's customer service, speed at which he performed the work, and the quality of the work. Very fair and reasonable pricing as well. My phone is back to normal now and working perfectly, just like before. My data is also all in tact. 100% customer satisfaction. Would 10/10 recommend Yama's services, and will be coming here for any future phone...
Read moreI would like to say that I am happy with my experience at iRepair Cell & Tablets. I have gone to him twice and both were very professional.
The first time I went to him, I was going there to fix a Samsung S6, a phone that he does not have parts for and said that the only way that it can get repaired is that I would need to buy the parts. I understood that because my phone is many generations behind, so that was no problem.
Once I acquired the parts, he taught me things that I did not know. He told me that the LCD display was a generic one and this resulted in it not fitting as well as the initial screen, but worked very well. He also taught me that my phone has an unoriginal Samsung glass back. This was the reasoning behind the fractures in the glass backing.
There were two complications after this experience (I DO NOT BLAME HIM FOR THIS) which was that the phone was prone to overheating and the brightness couldn't go quite to a very dark screen. This is most likely due to the fact that I had a faulty replacement LCD display and a shattered back.
I then came back to his store to get both of these replaced- also because I got a hairline crack on the screen and it wouldn't work anymore (This time investing more in the parts because I didn't initially to save money).
He commented that I got better parts and was able to work wonders.
After the repairs, my phone has been working beautifully (and I should note that I am writing this after a day after the initial repairs to my phone to make sure that the phone is still operating the best it can and it is)
After these interactions, all I have are kind words to Mr. Fazel, he is very good at what he does and I was surprised on how affordable it was. All I can say is that I will most definitely go back to him for my phone repairs. Keep up the great work!
TL;DR (←Too long; Didn't read) He is really good at his job. Professional...
Read moreI came in for a screen replacement due to a minor crack and decided to go with the 'generic screen' instead of 'manufactured screen', which is a $60 difference. Prior to coming in I was told there is no difference with the screens in terms of functionality - the only difference is the color of screen people notice is different. After leaving his shop, I noticed while using my phone, apps would pop up randomly, Also I noticed using the charging pad made it even worse with the screens coming up for no reason. I went back in to get the phone checked and let him know there were issues. He replaced the screen with another generic and told me you cannot use a charging pad with generic only manufactured (He did NOT tell me this before). Now I can no longer use any type of charing pad. My phone is also having other issues - It is calling contacts before I lock it and doing odd things it's never done, there is definitely some sensitivity issues but also the screen will turn this really ODD color, everything will turn neon! He should not sell the generic screen if it does not work. I will not recommend this...
