Renewed review: 3 stars to 5! :) it’s all because of Rachael! ☺︎ she was so kind and friendly one day I visited. I was with one of my little kids and felt little bad bringing a 4 yo then but she made us feel so welcomed all good. After meeting her, I’d visited there multiple times and got to meet other friendly ladies who work there too. I was so happy to meet Rachael and now I get to visit there with no hesitation. Thank you so much, Racheal! Looped is finally my lys. :) -
I've been there maybe 7, 8 times because They have the yarns I like and it's the closest yarn shop from home. I love what they have. I love the cute place. But for some reason I have never felt welcomed by the workers. They're nice if I say hi or ask something. But maybe I was greeted by them once before I did. I hear them greeting to other customers so I wonder why? I hope it's not because I'm an Asian? I like supporting local/small businesses but i feel kind of sad every time I leave the shop even with the yarns I wanted in my hands. I'm sad because I'd love the place if I ever get to feel welcomed like I do at other places in MD or VA but I've never felt...
Read moreI have been here twice. Customer service sucks.
In the summer, the person at the front desk did not greet me when I walked in despite making very strong eye contact with me. When I later asked a question about some yarn, the employee’s tone was condescending and then they just walked out of the room right after answering my question. I don’t need idle chit chat but the interaction was odd.
I came back recently and went through the same thing with the same employee when I walked through the door. I thought maybe the business just doesn’t provide their employees with proper customer service training. But then I heard the employee warmly greet a white lady entering the store and tell her to let them know if they had any questions. Hmm..
The store sells beautiful yarn but I don’t have the energy to put up with rude and unfriendly people when I’m just trying to treat myself to some nice, overpriced yarn for my knitting hobby. Second story knits in Bethesda has an equally wonderful selection of yarn and the employees are far more welcoming...
Read moreThe products seemed to be good quality, on the pricier side but that makes sense for a small business. The customer service however was extremely lacking. Nobody came to greet me or ask if I needed any help. I asked for help from two employees (the first said they were busy and couldn’t help me) and the second employee also wasn’t helpful and made me feel a bit stupid because I’m a beginner and don’t know a lot of the terminology, also felt judged when I showed them the project I needed supplies for (a crochet project that is popular currently on social media). The final straw was when I had looked up online what I needed since they didn’t answer my questions and was ready to check out but I stood in front of the registrar and no employee ever came up to me. I left without buying anything and feeling quite irritated and stupid. Not a store I recommend if you need actual advice and...
