Brief summary: Broken Equipment, impolite counter managers who rip you off and some staff that ruin game experience for others.
For a location owned and operated by the manufacturer its a great pity they cannot provide functioning equipment for all the players.
In detail: Me and my cousin arrived and could immediately join a game. Everything great so far. After getting the equipment in our hands, my cousin put in his magazine which was blowing out air in all directions. The staff saw this, but did not do anything.
Because of our working experience we knew that some parts inside the gun were broken. After asking to change the gun, we were told that they had no other ones. So they promote the recoil of their guns very well, but don't offer this experience to all the customers.
One game later there were even other customers complaining of faulty equipment. I think one of them got his gun changed.
After asking another one of the staff for changing my cousins gun, i was told that they are sorry that the gun is broken and she is sorry for that, but they will get new ones in about an month. For now there would be no chance to change.
Actually some staff joined the teams and slaughtered the ones playing the first time. I cant see any reason why the had to do this. They were definitely no regulars due to their conversations with the other staff. So gaming experience wasn't the best even with my badly worn but working gun. What is too unfortunate because the arena itself has a great layout and is built very well!
At the end of the session we wanted to get some refund for the not working recoil but the counter manager told us that the gun had a silencer!!! That was just insane.
After we could convince her to talk to her colleague she came back and said it doesnāt matter if the recoil worked or not because the scoring of the gun was alright and we wonāt get any refund.
We asked to talk to a supervisor, but there was nobody available. So we got an email address for any complaints and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI played here for the first time on a Saturday and I loved it! I found this place from a video I saw on facebook where Ashaway (I think that's her icombat tag) was really hyping it up. I was a little nervous from the clips I saw and some of the other reviews I read but I took a chance. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by James. He was super friendly and answered all of the questions I had. Sign up was super easy and it's cool that I could make my own gamer tag where they actually track COD-like stats like KDR, win % and way more. Damian helped me at the front counter when I went to go pay for my session and buy a drink. He was really nice too and explained the membership program they had. Plus he was really cute so I didn't mind talking to him. When it was time to "gear up" I found out that the guns are not the dinky toy guns, which was awesome! Some of the best, realistic gear I have seen yet. Michael explained all of the rules to the group very well and also showed us how to reload (very life like). The map is massive and detailed. There are multiple levels and buildings that you can walk through and hide in. The only part I didn't like about the map were the strobe lights but it was great all around. We played different games like Team Deathmatch, Domination and a few others and it did not disappoint. What really helped was the team lead I had, Tom. He explained the rules and objectives of the games really well and it was easy enough to follow, just had to get use to the map. There were some really good players and they probably play every weekend because some of my team could not get out of spawn. But the "regulars" on our team strategized with us and were really helpful. They held them off long enough so that we could get to other positions on the map. I think I'm going to make this a weekly thing because it was a blast. If you go, don't wear jeans or a sweater. I was drenched in sweat when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat for all ages! We were aged 7-76. Wear workout clothes and sneakers! Next time Iām wearing shorts or cropped workout tights and a tank top.
Booked a private party and came with a group of extended family members, ranging in age from 7 to 76, over the Christmas break. It. Was. Awesome. A week later and weāre all still talking about it. It was an exhilarating bonding experience, and collectively it was our favorite Christmas activity.
The patriarch and matriarch of my family (my parents, 76 & 75), each picked teams of seven. All the adult men, except my dad, ended up on one team, giving them only a slight advantage, but our team still won some of the matches. Communication and strategy was our downfall, not age, gender or ability. Next year, weāll take āem! Lol.
It took me until about 3/4 of the way through before I was comfortable with my gun and the course. Pro Tip: pay attention when theyāre explaining your weapon in the intro (I was instead helping a teammate with their vest and missed the part about how to reload š¤¦š»āāļø), and take a look at, and familiarize yourself with the course map in the re-spawn rooms or the lobby. Or just move around a lot to explore during the first couple matches. Take the scenic route back to home base after each game in the beginning to explore new areas.
I would encourage even the less mobile of our elders, and those that are differently abled, to participate. Originally, my mother, sister and her husband, were just going to watch, but we are all glad they played. It made it more fun to include everyone. Thereās workarounds to accommodate players of different ages and abilities. I wouldnāt hesitate to book a party for my SOās family, including his grandparents that are in their 80ās. They may not run stairs, but they can blast others from...
