I love your products, unfortunately I have had numerous poor customer service experiences with the owner of the Fredrick Hallmark Stores. I have done most of my shopping with Hallmark at the stores closest me Fredrick's Hallmark on Sunset Dr and another one on Silvernail Dr in Waukesha Wisconsin. I have spent so much of my hard earned money at those stores and it makes me sick how the owner treats his customers. When I think of the Hallmark brand I think they would have compassion and care for their customers. Not this owner. The employees that work in the store are great. Tonight, an employee called the owner to see if he would be willing to honor a coupon for me that I forgot at home. I am at Platinum status for my Hallmark card and described the coupon to the employee. I live 25 minutes away from the store and have two little children I needed to pick up and get to bed so I could not run home and then back. The coupon expired today. I heard the employee on the phone try to plead my case. The employee approached me and apologized stating the owner's answer was no to honoring the coupon for me. This is an example of no compassion and an owner that is only in it for the money. It is very sad and not how I think Hallmark would want to be represented. Another time my 4 year old daughter had to use the bathroom, I had been in the store for 20 minutes and had my arms full of products, the employees refused to let my daughter use the bathroom, I had to put all my stuff back and leave to take her to the bathroom, unfortunately I returned and purchased the items I previously was carrying. I love Hallmark's products and plan to continue to shop only online or at one of the other Hallmark stores not owned by Fredrick's Hallmark. Please do not support this...

I bought a Woodwick candle from them about 2 weeks ago. Paid full price. Brought it back to return, with my receipt, in pristine, unused, still boxed and tagged condition and was told I would only get the new sale price back. Apparently they’re now 40% off. No where was this posted as the return policy. When I questioned the legality of that I was told by the clerk that it’s policy at every store not just the hallmark store. I’ve never had that happen to me ever, at any store. I try to shop small to support the little retailers whenever I can, but I won’t be buying anything from this store ever again. Read moreI’m not a frequent shopper, but every time I have gone there has been some sort of issue. I go there because they have unique products, but they are rather expensive. Anyway, I forgot my coupon at home, and the gal said if I came back with my receipt and the coupon that they would give me the 5 dollars off. I went back the next day because I went around 8:15 and they close at 8:30 and different staff were there. This one girl seemed very confused on what I was asking and refused to reimburse me because I “didn’t have the product with me” even tho I had the receipt which had the date on it.
