If I could give less than one star I would. Was not informed about no return policy. This archaic ethos is from the stone ages! Bought an item that turned out to be not needed, brought it back completely unused with tags still attached, etc. Tried to give me a store credit. This doesn't fly with me. "Feel free to come back for that store credit within 30 days",,,,,,Nope! You'll never see me in your store or another penny from me again, and I'll discourage everyone I know from doing business with themšš¼.
The $4 ribbon is not what was needed to be returned. It was a $20 tutu. A duplicate was purchased by someone else and my daughter chose that one. Regarding your 'common' small business return policy, I'll quote Cinderella,,,"Just because it's what's done doesn't mean it's what SHOULD be done!". You should take that to heart. You have multiple poor reviews about your return policy. Logic and ethics dictate a change. If a small business really wants to succeed, they should strive to keep every customer that comes in, and if it means altering your return policy to refund customers' money in order to keep that customer returning for future purchases, than I'd say that is 'good business'. Losing customers to competitors because you want to keep $20 is not 'good business'. There are other ballet suppliers, and I, personally will go there for any future purchases for my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my daughter there and we got an overall good impression. She fit my daughter in pointe shoes. My daughter's studio wanted us to buy two pairs to make it easier on the driving. I had researched the brand that the studio wanted. We got fitted then my daughter asked about pair number two. I tried to explain to my daughter that we were going to buy it online. The mean owner heard our conversation, ran to the back, and brought out a second pair and charged us right away! I was surprised at this childish act! I explained that we were going to buy it online instead if here. She refused to take the extra pair I DIDN'T WANT off my bill. We wrote down her size. And left that crappy store. We drove back into friendswood and found Starmaker. They had her size and fitted her and respected my wishes of only one pair for now. Never go to Backstage! The owner is rude and only cares about money. However, the employees are fairly nice. Please if a studio recommends them.... BE CAREFUL ~...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn older lady works there is very nice, warned me several times about the no return policy, that was fine I buy lots of dance stuff all year long. Visited here instead of the normal place looking for something different, i bought a few things knowing you cannot return but exchange. I went back explained one of the items was cutting my daughter under her arms, was honest said she loved how it look but wore it a couple of minutes and it was very uncomfortable. Fine with exchanging, owner is snotty and rude. That's too bad because the lady that helped me was very nice and assured me since i made the purchase without my daughter present I could exchange it. THE OWNER WON'T EVER GET ANOTHER PENNY OF MY MONEY!! Love the ladies at Starmakers in...
