On Friday May 12, 2023 I visited this location and was deeply disappointed. I ordered the chicken oreganato which was delicious, I had no complaints about the food or Addison, the lovely bartender. However, I've not had the unfortunate experience as I had with the manager on duty that evening ever in any other restaurant. To say that the gentleman was rude would be an understatement. As I asked the bar tender simple questions about the menu and general questions that she didn't have the answer for she would ask the manager and he seemed to get increasingly annoyed at me for asking. I was there to celebrate my friends birthday, and we ordered a slice of carrot cake. The cake portions here are incredible, it's a challenge to eat one slice with two people in one sitting. It was late and the restaurant was already closed. Earlier I asked if it was ok to stay a bit while we finish our conversations. I asked if we can have the cake to go, the bar tender had thrown out what was left of our cake which was more than half. Now it's not the size of the cake or the fact that it cost $15 for a slice, it was the principal of the matter that it was my friends birthday and I wanted her to have that cake to take home. I asked the manager for the cake and he became extremely irritable and rude stating that the restaurant was closed and that we were the only ones there. So I asked for the cake which we paid for so we could go, in which he looked at the bartender and said, just give them a refund. Unfortunately she had already closed the register and couldn't do so, so he went in the kitchen and grabbed another slice of cake and thrusted it to me and said, "Here just take another whole slice of cake" in which I responded, "so because you can't give me a refund you are now giving me a slice of cake" As I did not care to escalate the situation further on my friends birthday we just left. As we left all we could think about is... I wonder what he did to this cake? Did he spit in it? Did he lick it? Did he do anything disgusting to it? So we ended up throwing it away. Given his attitude and temperament we were not confident that he gave us anything in good faith. There was no need or excuse for this behavior, there was nothing we did to warrant this treatment. It was an unfortunate experience which prompted me so much to write a review. I would never visit this location again or consider it as a venue to host any gatherings. I wouldn't recommend this location to any friends and would actively suggest that people refrain from subjecting themselves to the...
Read moreMy family and I had the pleasure of visiting your establishment this past Friday evening. It was a last minute get together for a party of 4. Fortunately for us, there was a table available. We arrived with a few minutes to spare.
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Additionally, we noticed that the restaurant had a beautiful and warm ambience about it. Once checked in and confirmed, we were immediately escorted to our table. Upon being seated we noticed that we had the great fortune of being placed in the nostalgic and historic 'Sinatra' section of the restaurant (if these walks could talk). With the assistance and recommendations of our server, Bella, we immediately went on to order our appetizers of crab cakes, mussels and lobster bisque soup, which were all fresh and delectable. Once we were ready to (finally) order our entrees, Bella as well as the maitre d' were both very accommodating and patient, considering that half of my party did not speak nor understood English. When our main entrees came out, we were ready and excited to continue our gastronomic adventure. I had ordered the rigatoni a la vodka with crab meat (which was remarkable). Two in our party had the fettuccine Alfredo accompanied by Chilean sea bass (cooked to perfection) and lastly the 'surf and turf' consisting of filet mignon and lobster tail was ordered by the fourth member of our dinner party (again amazing).
Lastly, for dessert, we had and shared an enormous piece of the moist and rich carrot cake garnished with whipped cream and fresh berries and served with gelato (both vanilla bean and pistachio).
I went up to thank the manager and tell him myself what a wonderful time we all had. Starting from the time we walked in, till we left. This was truly an amazing experience, we had an incredible time. Fine dining at its best.
Many kudos and...
Read moreI'll start with the outstanding service. From the moment of arrival we were eagerly greeted by the manager who was accommodating, as expected, but was also genuinely interested in our group. He asked how our drive was, confirmed we found a parking spot in the complimentary lot, offered to take our coats and personally seated us. Our server was attentive, very well informed of the menu and truly flexible with our group's order requests. She made smart suggestions and anticipated what we might need.
Drinks were brought quickly and were well balanced. Cucumber Margarita was outstanding, Old Fashioned was right on par. Appetisers came out with a lot of love; lamb lollipops were tender and juicy, oysters were perfectly seasoned. My Pork Chop was sensational. Saucy, remarkably crispy breading, sufficient tangy vegetables and enough to take home for a midnight snack. The rest of the party ordered other items, the fish was fresh, flaky and delicious but didn't receive the ovation the Pork did. Carrot cake stood at a whopping 10 inches tall and was sufficient for everyone in my section. Rich, moist, flavorful, tons of frosting and abundant.
The check arrived quickly after request. We were invited to take time after paying to finish our conversations if we needed to, which we did. Coffee and espresso refills were even offered. We talked a bit more and were sent off by the same welcoming manager as he was talking to the chef and a few staff members near the bar. Unsurprisingly, the Chef thanked us for dining at Rosebud and invited us back. This is a rarity lost by so many high end establishments.
It was a pleasure dining at Rosebud and look forward to another...
