Studio East6 — Local services in West Chicago Township

Rupa and her team at Studio East6 did an amazing job with all of the outfits for my wedding. Planning a wedding during Covid came with so many challenges but the one part that felt easy was working with Studio East6. I reached out to them once my husband and I decided we did want to have a small wedding and only had 4 months to plan it. I reached out to Studio East6 to see if they would be able to help out and they responded immediately saying they could! My first meeting with them went better than I expected. Based on my past experiences clothing stores tend to pressure you into making a purchase but Rupa was different. She took the time to listen to what I wanted (and not what she thought I would want) and after talking to her for awhile she gave me some ideas on what she thought would work for me. The suggestions were completely in line with what I wanted. I was nervous that my outfits wouldn’t come in time but she put my mind at ease by ensuring me that she has a great relationship with the designers she works with and they would be able to get it done. I was honestly surprised by wide variety of designers she worked with and it made life so much easier not having to worry about traveling to India. Once the order was placed Rupa and her team stayed in constant touch to provide me with updates on the order which made me feel better since I had to keep following up with all my other vendors. Once the outfits came in Rupa had me come in to try them on and they were absolutely perfect! Better than I could have ever imagined. My husband and I didn’t have a formal bridal party however we had several close friends and family that wanted to get a new outfit for our wedding and I told them about Studio East6. They all ended up going to see the outfit selection and purchased an outfit from Rupa. They were so impressed with the selection she had available to purchase immediately off the rack. I got married on June 11th, 2022, and was shopping for 3 outfits for my wedding festivities. As my family is out of state, I was shopping alone which was already stressful. Rupa and the team were very patient and helpful with me throughout the process. I was not up to date with Indian clothing or the latest designers and they kindly gave me more information and the pros of each one based on my style. What I really appreciated in addition to the great customer service was that Rupa has carefully chosen the designers and specific outfits to carry in her store. This was already a great help as when I went to other stores it felt like a mixed bag of items where you really didn't know if you were picking a quality item or not. The salespeople in those stores are generally very salesy and pushy which I do not appreciate. Rupa was NEVER that way and I always felt comfortable sharing my honest opinion which she took and came up with new ideas. She also worked really closely with me when one of my outfits was discontinued and worked late to quickly identify other options that she thought fit my specific style and complimented my other outfits. She was always very honest and very upfront so that my unique taste and style should shine through. She does a great job at taking your individual taste and then making sure you are putting your best foot forward with items that will make you feel confident on your big day. I can't say enough about how grateful I am that my decorator at VP Impressions recommended Rupa and StudioEast6 to me as this was an integral part of my wedding. My reception outfit was the talk of the reception which made the day even more special and memorable. I also went with a more simple wedding outfit which Rupa helped me elevate and always encouraged me to follow my intuition even if it was a bit non-traditional. Completing all my shopping with Rupa and Studioeast6 was the best decision and she even helped me with styling tips. The prices were always very fair and competitive for what you are getting! The experience at Studio East 6 depends on the person that is assigned to work with you. Rupa, the owner, is fantastic, and an associate named Sonia seems great, but the service from other associates is inconsistent and can be horrible. I lucked out during my first experience by getting to work with Rupa, but given the bad associate experience I've had (rude, dismissive, unreliable), I decided to purchase my reception dress from another US retailer.

I first came to Studio East 6 looking for a fusion outfit that would match my husband's burgundy suit for a courthouse wedding ceremony. When I came in for my appointment at the boutique, the associate I was assigned tried to push me into buying a white, ball-gown-like lehenga, even though I repeatedly said I did not want to wear a lehenga, particularly one that resembled a Western wedding gown. The associate asked me to follow up and send alternative ideas. I told the associate my top choice was a Payal Singhal fusion set. There was a phone follow-up for which the associate was 15 minutes late without apology, and I was told that Payal Singhal set wouldn't match my husband's suit and it was not a good fit for the occasion. Again, I was encouraged to purchase the white lehenga that I didn't like.

Luckily, I was transferred at some point to working with Rupa, the owner. Contrary to her associate, she actually did think the Payal Singhal set would be a good fit for the courthouse wedding and it would match my husband's suit. She was right! The set was perfect for our wedding. Rupa’s measurements were almost spot on; I only needed to take the waist in by 1/4”.

I was down to the wire on order timing, but Studio East 6 got me my outfit on roughly the timing promised. An associate named Sonia was super communicative when there was a shipping delay.
