West Jordan City Center Trax Station — Local services in West Jordan

BEWARE - THE ADDRESS IN GOOGLE MAPS IS INACCURATE (as of Sept 2018). It takes you to a city street just the other side of the sound wall in a trailer park neighborhood where you cannot access the train station. Looks like map revisions have been submitted and nothing done about that in more than a year. If you call an Uber or Lyft it will send them to the completely wrong place so tell them "1500 Rosa Parks Drive, Redwood Road" in West Jordan. Turn East off Redwood Road at 8020 south--the light in front of the courthouse.

Other than that, the station is clean, bright, tons of parking, conveniently located just off Redwood Road across the street from the city hall, courthouse, and police station so I've never felt unsafe alone at any time of day. Walking distance to West Jordan's large Veteran's Memorial park, the library and Viridian Center. It's also a short walk to a shopping square with Vasa gym, a couple fast food places, and other odd collection of shops and businesses. (Not really shopping area for...

Nice clean station in a “central” location. It’s dominated by parking and has minimal development within a walking distance. Not much of a city center for Utah’s 3rd most populous city, in my opinion. Maybe Jordan school aux building could be rebuilt elsewhere or built up to minimize footprint, and the area could have parking garages, restaurants, offices, and apartments to replace the desolate sea of asphalt

I have not ridden Trax or redline much. I'm not from slc, the driver who took me to the West Jordan center couldn't find it right off and two redlines drove off before I could find out if I was supposed to ride them, how do you know inbound or outbound. No maps to help...
