No complaints about the store itself but this location needs to serious rethink staffing at the retail post office location. I bring in a few packages, max 4 at a time, that have prepaid labels in to ship once or twice a week. Every. Single. Time. I get major flack when I request a receipt. My personal favorite was when one of the women roller her eyes and held up my package and lectured me on how it had the tracking number on it and I didn't need a receipt.
Doesn't work that way. People shipping for business need receipts for tax purposes. Also, many online retailers like ebay and Mercari do not fulfill buyer protections unless the package was scanned. Having a receipt helps greatly in case of a dispute. Further, sometimes for whatever reason the printer at home doesn't print clearly enough and it won't scan, etc.
I have always been very polite, no matter how rude they are. All I want is a receipt. My packages are pre labeled, neatly packed, and small. I bring in a max of five at a time, and usually it is one or two at a time so it's not like I'm dumping piles on them at once. And usually when I arrive there are no other customers and the store staff manning the post office are not doing anything. They drag their feet to help customers as if I'm causing a huge imposition wishing for them to do their job.
I used to work retail. I was a retail manager for awhile. I had customers treat me like absolute trash so I get how tough it can be. But these ladies? I've never been rude. No matter how nasty they were. And yet they fight me tooth and nail. After one incident a few weeks ago I finally called the store and the manager said 1. There is no anti receipt store policy and 2. They would address it. Afterwards one of the two employees I see most often stopped arguing. However I've had continual issues with the other employee. She lectures me, she argues, she rolls her eyes.
Last time I was in, even after I calmly replied that I needed a receipt anyway, I was close to calling a manager but I figured hopefully my explanation would be enough.
Nope. My father dropped off a package today and the woman fought with him for 5 minutes, refusing to give a receipt and then dismissed him. He, the mildest man I know, went to a manager.
It's ridiculous. Next time and every time I have an issue, I'm not being nice any more. I absolutely will bother a manager every single time.
These women are so awful that I am getting major anxiety about dropping off my mail however due to working, I can't always make the post office during operating hours.
They have a nasty reputation at all the local post offices and I have spoke with several people I know how frequent this location and all are reporting the same issue.
What is the problem? It takes like ten seconds to scan and weigh a prepaid package and issue a receipt. They are handling US mail.
It's completely absurd and...
Read moreThis is my “home,” go to grocery store. Their meats and produce are the best around. I’ve had staff there bend over backwards to help me with finding or ordering things hard to come by. Always clean and doesn’t seem too crowded - they are great at minimizing checkout lines. Granted, it’s no Wegmans, but they do their best.
update 12/19 Recently had some poor experiences here, several actually. Nothing makes sense since the retooling last month and it’s not as clean as it used to be. Crowded as well. Cheap bags breaking, my produce goes all over the floor. I took the time to express my discontent with an email weeks ago... nothing. Sadly, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
Update 3/25 Gradually started back some time ago, simply because of location convenience. I must say things are better. Cleaner, the weak malfunctioning plastic bag issue has not occurred again, and the staff are always very friendly. The only thing that still stands out is the lack of humans working at the checkout. There’s always two, maybe three folks working but the line for those are extremely long. I always end up using the self checkout which...
Read moreBeing disabled I’ve been using the online shopping then having my husband or one of our boys to pick it up. I use to do large orders (over $200) but I stopped because of there being mistakes each time. I’ve stayed away completely now for over a month. Yesterday I place a small order of about $55. Figuring that will give them enough time to recheck it before it’s picked up. WRONG!!! The small order came back with an over charge of $22. Which was almost half the price of my correct order. I was charged for a 1/2 sheet cake, when I ordered and received one of those little cup cake cakes. I called and the woman started arguing with me that I’m wrong!! I pulled up my order and it said what I wanted but was given something different. 20 mins later she comes back on the phone to ask if I wanted to come in for the refund. If I could come in I wouldn’t need you!!! Needless to say, I now have $22. Gift card, to go with the 5lbs of frozen pasta that I got the wrong one of!!! DONE DONE. We will be not shopping...
