If you had asked me what I thought of Sleep Number before Nov 2022, I'd have told you that I was very happy. Ask me now - I am NOT happy and its all because of a little remote. My remote died in Nov 2022. I called to order a replacement and was told they are not available, and they were not taking names to notify us when they were available. They THOUGHT they'd be available late Dec.
Background - yes, I have the Sleep Number app on my phone. But I don't use it at night because I'd have to open my eyes, navigate to the app, navigate to the settings, select Snore to silence my sleeping husband and then TRY to go back to sleep. Instead, with the remote, I don't even have to open my eyes, I find the button by touch and presto, back to sleep I go.
So I called back in late Dec and no, still not available. I called back in early Jan and no, still not available. And I called back today and, you guessed it, still not available. I requested to speak to the manager and I got a gentleman called Rich. Rich began by confirming my acct, then proceeded to confirm my shipping address, so I thought, "ok maybe he's got a secret stash and he'll ship me one" but no, as we continued to talk it turns out that he was planning on entering an order for a remote for me so that when it is available, it will ship and I'll get an email confirmation. That sounds reasonable, right? BUT they will hit my card NOW for the $52, even though they have no idea when (if?) it will be available. It could be 6 months from now, it could be never. How long do I wait till I reason out that they're never going to ship? And at that point, I now have to reach out to cancel my order and request a refund. And if there is an issue with the refund...it'll be too late to contest the charge through my credit card provider. I know, $52 isn't much compared to what I paid for the bed, but I am not happy with their concept of "customer service" and I am not happy because my sleep has been affected because I don't...

We'll it was not what I expected at all... you're paying for an overpriced air mattress that does not conform to your body. I got the climate cool bed and flex fit 2 adjustable base...I thought i was getting top of the line quality bed. After week 2 my body was in constant pain... no sleep number setting felt comfortable. Either too soft felt like a deflated air mattress with pillow top and too firm was too hard! Fast forward day 31 to initiate a return, I was told that the base is final sale and not returnable. Sales agent lied to us during the sale and told us if we weren't happy that we can return EVERYTHING. This was beyond frustrating! Not only do we have to wait another 2 weeks for then to pick up the bed... but I had to go through hoops to speak to the higher ups in management to get the base returned as well for a hefty restocking fee (better than 3k for a useless base though!) All in all... save yourself the headache. The bed is not advertised as it seems... it's not comfortable. When you think of this bed think of the most expensive air mattress you can find and put a quality memory foam cushion on top of that ...that's your sleep number bed. Never again! Read moreThe sales team (Michael) was great and he definitely deserves 5 stars and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product, getting our order placed and answering any questions we had. The 1 star is due to the delivery and service thus far. Delivery was scheduled 5/8, they brought out the mattress and adjustable base. I did not receive a demo nor any instructions on the features. I asked the delivery team how to use it and was told “everything is on the app and you’re good to go” and they left. I tried and everything was not good to go, the foot warmers don’t work, the foot portion of the base does not adjust, the left side of the bed does not adjust, the left lights do not work, etc, I called customer service immediately, hoping they would send someone right out as the delivery/set-up clearly was not completed appropriately and the next appointment is not until 5/13. This was not a low budget purchase and I am left with a nonfunctioning product for the rest of the week. Additionally, I went outside later that afternoon and cardboard was left in my driveway so I had to clean up after the delivery team as well.
