I initially left a positive review because my first impression of Yogasix was amazing thanks to Vickiana at the front desk. She was definitely a hard worker, professional, kind, caring, and wanted people to come back. The two teachers that I loved were Julia R and Nancy, they were amazing and truly taught me a lot.
However, now I am extremely disappointment with my experience. I joined your studio with the intention of improving my mental, emotional and physical well - being. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite the opposite.
I purchased extra credits and wanted to share them with my best friend, but later despite being told they would transfer they never were. Instead I was informed the credits expired or were lost due to late cancellations neither of which had occurred. The 2 out of the 3 credits were eventually refunded after I raised a concern, the explanation I received felt unclear, dismissive, and invalid. The concerning part is had I not followed up about this my money would have likely been lost without any communication or notice.
To make matters worse, I received accusatory text message regarding a bad review that I did not write. I was asked to "delete it" and advised to "ignore the front desk." This approach is completely inappropriate, dismissive and furthermore unprofessional. As a paying member I should not be expected to ignore staff or feel uncomfortable in a space meant for peace and healing. Due to this situation, I do not feel comfortable proceeding with the completion of my remaining credits.
Not to mention my review has nothing to do with the former employees. It's my experiences and I am allowed to express myself it's called freedom of speech.
Yoga should be a place where members feel respected, heard, and supported. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I no longer feel welcomed in your studio.
EDIT reply to review: I am honestly disgusted by the owner Ruben's response. Instead of taking responsibility for his actions or the studios behavior, his wife tried to cover up things by offering me a so - called "discount" to keep my membership and threaten to bribe me with credits if I removed a review I never posted. This is manipulative behavior, unprofessional, and unacceptable for a business especially one that claims to promote mindfulness and community.
My review reflects my own personal experiences over multiple occasions not just one. Let me clarify I did communicate with the studio and while one issue was resolved other negative ones remained. As previously mentioned, this has nothing to do with knowing a former employee or not, but with the unprofessional treatment I experienced. That's not "miscommunication". That's a pattern of poor management and unethical behavior.
The studios response feels more focused on persuading members to stay rather than genuinely addressing the issues raised. What is missing is accountability, sincerity, and the sense of community that yoga is meant to promote both on and off the mat.
I stand by my review, as it accurately reflects how I felt and how I was treated as a paying customer. I sincerely hope that future members are treated with greater respect and...
Read moreFirst of all, I would like to respond to the reviews/defamation from Michelle Suh and Melissa Elkin on Yogasix. Your review information is incorrect, dishonest and misinform to others.
Michelle Suh was treated very kind and respectful by us, she always booked her classes but rarely showed up for classes, and she canceled her classes last minute without notify us even though we informed her to notify us if she needs to cancel class last minute to avoid charges. We had been issued refunds on those charges, then she canceled her membership but return with free class pass, that's truly cheating since the purpose of class pass is to introduce people to different fitness studio but not using these low cost pass to take classes on the regular basis and unfair to people who pay full price membership. Michelle you do not have permission to post screenshots of private conversation, it is invasion of privacy and can result in a lawsuit again you from me. PURE NASTINESS.
We had been noting but kind to Michelle , refund her and give them opportunity to come back to the studio with nice gestures, unfortunately their reviews are very spiteful and dishonest.
Melissa Elkin had never take a class before and are you writing a review without even taking a class, so NASTY and being spiteful because we cancel class pass. Our paid members have priority to the studio, we reserve the right to cancel class pass without notice.
As far as Emily Bosoy, she wanted her second month money back after she was offered first month promotional half off, as in any membership policy, a membership usually required two months minimum commitment to get the promotion and 30 days notification to cancel, these are basic rule for membership in any fitness club/studio in first world countries, what world are you living in EMILY! SMH again.
I hope you ladies will find kindness and peace in yourself, treat people with kindness and respect, be kind to the community where you live, eat and pray, do not harm or try to ruin small business in your community, we can always have a discussion.----Jenny
YogaSix I can honestly say it's been a game-changer for any wellness journey! From the moment I stepped into the studio, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making you feel right at home.
The variety of classes offered is outstanding, from calming restorative sessions to more intense power yoga. Each instructor I've had has been knowledgeable and passionate, providing clear guidance while encouraging everyone to find their own pace. I love how they focus on building strength and flexibility while also emphasizing mindfulness and breathwork.
The studio itself is beautiful, clean, and has all the amenities you need, including mat rentals and wellness products. I also appreciate the sense of community; everyone is so supportive and friendly, making every class a positive experience.
Whether youâre a beginner or an experienced yogi, YogaSix has something for everyone. I highly recommend giving it a try â you...
Read moreI originally left a positive review because my first impression of YogaSix was great â especially thanks to Vickiana at the front desk. She was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely makes people feel welcome. You can tell clients love her â Iâve seen people stay after class just to chat with her or wait for her help with memberships. One of the teachers that I specifically loved was Nancy, she was wonderful and truly cares about her classes.
Unfortunately, everything outside of that has been disappointing. Memberships are poorly managed, and they donât seem to honor what they promise. I was gifted credits by a friend, and even after bringing it up multiple times, thereâs âno recordâ of them and still nothing added to my account. When I called to resolve it, the ownerâs attitude, Ruben was unprofessional and condescending â he spoke to me like I was a problem rather than a paying customer. Iâve even overheard him speaking harshly to his staff about memberships and credits, which was uncomfortable to witness.
Kate and Briana front desk staff also make the environment feel cold and unwelcoming â no greeting, no check-in acknowledgment, just attitude. Itâs really unfortunate because an instructor like Nancy creates a great class experience, but management completely ruins the overall atmosphere.
Honestly, I wouldnât recommend this studio anymore. The prices are high for what you get, and the energy feels more commercial than spiritual. If you want a yoga space that feels sacred, personal, and genuinely cares about its members, Iâd suggest Leela Flow Studios in Union City instead â better quality, better pricing, and much better vibes.
EDIT reply to review: Iâm really disappointed to see this kind of response from the studio instead of accountability. My review reflects my own experience â not anyone elseâs. Whether I know a former employee or not doesnât change the fact that I personally dealt with unprofessional treatment, missing class credits, and poor communication from management.
To clarify: my credits were not extended. When I called about them, I was told nothing could be done. I even had credits disappear from my account without notice or acknowledgment. These are firsthand experiences, not assumptions.
Itâs also telling that the studioâs response focuses on personal deflection rather than addressing the issues I raised. Iâve noticed similar replies under other reviews that appear copied or AI-generated, which says a lot about how feedback is handled. Genuine connection should extend beyond the yoga mat â and that authenticity is exactly whatâs missing here.
I stand by my review because itâs based on how I was treated as a paying customer. I truly hope future members experience more transparency and...
