I’m not surprised by the low ratings
My husband and I went to return a piece of artwork which was purchased less than 2 months ago. I did not have the receipt as I was intent on keeping it. However it needed a wire cable to hang it and it took me some time to finally purchase one. When I went to hang it, it started to shift once I let go. Turns out one of the screws holding the bracket on one side was completely hollow underneath, and it's a pretty heavy piece so I didn't feel confident about it hanging only from one screw. Also, it was only then while it was inches from my face that I noticed there was a piece of human hair within the piece.
The manager first said there’s no price tag but there was one and the price is also clearly marked by them. He then refused to take the item back for a store credit refund, stating the tag showed it was over 3 months old and the item is being returned damaged. I stated the date on the tag does not mean it was purchased 3 months ago, only that it was placed into inventory 3 months ago. Clearly the damage was not anything that was done by me, especially given how the the screw literally fell out when the cashier took the piece. It is a manufacturer’s defect period! I guess they are trying to stop frivolous returns but this is not the case. He refused to give me his name as I said he is probably the worst manager I have ever dealt with and that I intend to go to corporate. If you think managers like this will keep customers, you are very wrong! I spend thousands of dollars in your stores but now I will think twice. I don't have his name as he refused to give it to me, but look for a miserable bearded whale and you'll know who I'm referring to. Read moreThe newest HomeGoods is so close in the Outlets at Palm Beach, I'm tempted to redecorate my house . It's so easy to find beautiful and unique objects - some you didn't even realize you needed. Just walking through the store is a treat since it seems like the stock changes almost daily . Rule of thumb here, don't wait until tomorrow to think about something you love bc it won't be there when you decide you want it. The selection of spices , crackers , sauces , teas, coffee, is widely expsnded at this HomeGoods . If you're looking for a gift , this is the place to find something for anyone including wrapping paper and cards. All are incredibly inexpensive . I love everything I've purchased here for actual pennies. Better than a musty old consignment shop with clean , new , modern spin...
Read moreAs an avid HomeGoods shopper, I will find a way to get to a HG when I’m in any new area, this is by far the most poorly merchandised store i’ve ever been to. Not only did nothing make sense as far as any order in terms of merchandising, the store was completely disheveled. There were loading carts/boxes out on the floor, tripping/accident hazards everywhere, shelves were scattered with random items tossed onto them. It was a disaster. I heard a gentleman working in the picture/mirror section cursing abut what he was working on in the mirror section (Can’t say I blame him) Needless to say I’ll never return to that location, but it might be a good idea for someone from your corporate office to pop in. I’ve never seen a HomeGoods look worse than any Ross...
