Wow I am just in awe of the way somone can treat another person. It doesn't matter how kind or nice you are. These workers weren't kind, they weren't nice and they definitly weren't helpful. I am a very nice person, until you make me upset. But even then im still decent.
I came into this all star with my sibling wanting to take them on a little hangout before school starts. I looked up each place and was trying to find wich one had more things like bumper car's and lazer tag.
We walk in, the guy was helping someone so I waited like everyone does... I get up there and I say " hi how are you". Because there was none of that to me. He didnt answer back instead said " what can I help you with?" In a very annoyed tone. I just asked for 3 cards with 10 dollars on each. He told me the total and I was confused at first but it was 36 dollars but thats with tax, whatever so we go into the arcade. Look at each thing they are all 6 credits! The games suck your money out very quick! The very first game already took 6 credits and doesn't let us play. We played 2 games and then decided to save the rest for later tag. We go over there and ask to go to Lazer tag, the guy says oh ya you can do that over there at the kiosk. I said "okay thankyou". But we already had money on the cards, it was misunderstanding. We went to the line and waited 30 whole minutes for somone to come and help. I had to go over there and ask if we could play. He said " oh ya ill be there in a minute". It just would've been nice to know. We were waiting patiently and he finally came. He wasn't helping anyone mind you. He was talking to the other coworkers. He let's us in.
My vest already says deactivated shuts completely off, I waited to see if it would come back on. I go out to no one at all out there for help. I had to go to them again. And the girl was friendlier she was helping somone in front of me, so i waited again. But she didnt ask if we wanted to restart the game or anything because, that waiting took most of the time. And then my sisters vest didnt work, and when I just got back in there to. The time ran out. We went out and at this point I was upset. So I went to the front desk and explained in a very nice and calm voice what happend. And this other worker asked for the cards in a rude tone. But she then said she put 6 more dollars on each card. I was very thankful and thanked her. She didnt say anything just a very dirty nasty look. We went and checked the cards. There were only 6 more on two of the cards. But thats ok. Atleast we got them. Went onto play a little bit more. And yep you guessed it another machine took the credits. At this point im so over it. But we still tried to have fun and make the most of what we had and the time we had together.
Overall, not impressed. I remain very upset. And will not be coming back here.
It also sucks because, you want to have fun and enjoy your time there. And I saved up some money just for the experience to be...
Read moreThe building was very well kept, and clean. Took us a minute to get a Lane, but the staff seemed friendly enough. As soon as we got our lane, some of our party went ahead and put their names in, and as soon as they finished the first name, our time started, which seemed a little unfair, our time would probably have been better spent if the timer had started after the last name was entered (we had 6 people), or at the first bowl. After entering the names we pressed the button for waitstaff to come take our food order, and proceeded to wait for anyone to show up. Then, after the first person bowled, the pins wouldn't come back down, even when we pressed the reset button, and it took a few minutes for anyone to help us (we had to go get someone). That wasted about 5 or so minutes of our time. We kept playing, and watching for a waiter to come back around, and spotted them a few times (very spread out) serving other people. The last straw for that was when the only waitress there went and took the order of a group that had gotten there long after us and we were still waiting. I went up to the desk and asked when someone was going to come serve us, I told him we had been waiting since we got our lane and that I was starving and starting to shake and just needed to eat something, and that I was starting to get mad with the service (yes I was frustrated, but I tried to voice my frustration without taking it out on him). He told me that there wasn't anything he could do about it and that there was only one waiter today, to which I replied that she was over helping a group that had gotten there way after us, and we were still waiting to be helped. A few minutes later she showed up, being very polite (and we were trying to be polite back) and said she was sorry for the wait and that she thought we had pressed the incorrect service button and that we needed help with the lane. We had needed help with the lane, but that was 30 to 45 minutes ago (and I told her that), I had pressed the "waitstaff" button so we could order food, not for lane assistance. Our food then proceeded to show up 7 minutes before our time was up. I'm sure the problem was being short staffed, but if it's really this bad, then they need to have the kitchen use limited menu or closed until they have enough staff. Tonight was just ridiculous and we probably will not be back to...
Read moreThere are many different locations for All Star Bowling & Entertainment. I remember going as a child, I believe it was the Sandy location, but I hadn't been back in a while, so I tried the West Valley location. This entertainment center is in the Valley Fair Mall plaza. It looks big from the outside and decently nice.
Once you walk in, there is a front desk that you check-in and pay for your tickets or choice of operation. There are some deals that go on on certain days. You can look into those on the website, but I think there were more available in person that I did not see.
The service at the front desk was abysmal. The girl that was working there was non-responsive and had an attitude to begin with. When Stanley and I walked up to the front desk, she didn't even notice us for a while until we said "hello?" I wanted to use a deal that was not available for that day of the week, so she pointed to the different options on the board. She didn't really explain the choices to us, so I just picked what seemed best from her minimal explanation.
We left the front desk and had to try out and see what worked for our pass and what did not. We thought bowling was included in the pass, but it ended up not being included. We were only able to play some laser tag, play some VR games, and an unlimited amount of arcade games. We had to continue to go back and ask the front desk what we were allowed to do. Also, a game broke on us and there was no one manning the VR game. Each time we went back to the desk, all of the workers were gathered talking and gossiping with each other. It was almost intimidating to go up and ask them to do their job.
The place is okay for young kids; you're able to play an unlimited amount of games without having to pay for each one, if you buy a pass, which is a decent deal for parents. The place is a little grimy and dimly lit. The place is a little grimy and dimly lit. There might be a broken game or two, but it was fixed pretty quickly. It was also pretty empty. What did not pass though was the terrible service. The people working there were always on their phone or traveling around in groups. Their attitudes were not very nice and was almost...
