ALDI — Local services in Westlake

Since this store was remodeled and opened, the curbside offering has been HORRIBLE! The way you are notified of your order being completed is NOT consistent. If you get an email that asks you to check in for curbside, BEWARE. The store apparently won't get the notification and you'll just sit outside in their parking lot for 20+ minutes. I've had my groceries put into someone else's car before, and the process to get this rectified was painful! Today, I attempted to pick up my groceries, signed in on my email... waited FOREVER to get my groceries, a lady left and actually came back because they gave her the wrong groceries. I had to physically go into the store after 15 minutes to ask where my food was. They finally came out, and I asked them why 1/3 of my groceries were cancelled and not completed, because upon entering the store I saw at least 1 item I had purchased. A manager came to the car, very smug and dismissed me. He kept trying to say it was a system issue, and when I explained this Aldi location seems to be the only one that consistently has issues... he very casually and unempathetically just said "well... we're always trying to do better." He clearly just didn't want to deal with me and was just trying to give me a blanket response, to get me to leave.

Horrible experience and customer service. While ringing on self checkout an item would not scan so I hit the "Help" button. I wanted a few minutes and there was no response and nothing on the screen indicated that help was coming, so I hit it a second time. Then the girl ringing up other customers rudely asked "Do you need help with something???". No, I just hit the help button twice for my health ma'am. She proceeded to then tell me in a short attitude that she would assist me shortly. She proceeded to ring up her customer in front of her. Then proceeded to get change for another customer, and then rang up the next client without a care. There were also two other employees nearby who offered no assistance as well. Aldis has a great selection considering they aren't a full size grocery store like Giant Eagle. I can find about 85% of my groceries there. Usually I have to go elsewhere for special ingredients, like a specific spice. I love that they now carry a lot of organic and GF options. Their prices are reasonable too. I cut my grocery bill down considerably by switching the bulk of my grocery shopping from Giant Eagle to Aldis.
