Went in during their buy one get two free shoes sale. The sale states select Women's, Men's and Children's shoes. After my husband and I select our shoes, we head to the counter because we couldn't find my size even though it said they had it in stock. The cashier looked it up as well and said there should have been one left. Didn't even offer to go look for it because he didn't want to. He offered for me to order it online, so I said yes. He didn't know how to do it so he asked (I'm assuming the team leader or manager) to assist him. She came over, rang up our shoes and said the Men's shoes wasn't a part of the BOG2 sale. We told her there was a sign right next to the price and name of that shoe stating it was a part of their sale. She then proceeded to say that the sale ONLY included Women's shoes and that Men's and Children shoes were not a part of the sale. Then she said that it would be too difficult to purchase some of shoes in stores and to place an order online for the shoes they couldn't find. So she said "it would be easier if you just ordered all of your shoes online". At this point, I'm irritated because she didn't even know the rules of the sale that was going on. I told her politely no because I wanted to walk out of the stores with the shoes I had. I eventually gave up and ended up not purchasing anything. Poor customer service. A manager who is uneducated and not even aware of their own sales going on in store. And false advertisement. Never shopping here again. No wonder why JC Penny is going out...
Read moreI was given gifts from my mom for Christmas that she purchased at the White lake JCPENNEY. Exchanging the gifts were a hassle. The experience was not nice. We were greeted by a cashier named Sue. My mom had removed the tags when she wrapped the clothes to give me. She shouldn't have, however, she did have the receipts and a JCPenney rewards card that tracks purchases. Sue was very put out that we didn't have tags on the clothes. We were given attitude, eye rolls and deep sighs of annoyance. We were trying very desperately to win this woman over with kindness and apologies. This attempt was met with even more negativity. When she pulled the returning clothes from the bag, she noticed a couple of hairs. I said I was sorry, I own a Husky, and well, hair is a real issue. She then acted totally grossed out and claimed she would have to mark the items unsellable. Send them back to headquarters. I'm not sure I wish to ever shop this store again after being treated as though we were second rate citizens. Being judged by someone is never a nice experience. It is my opinion we did not give her a reason to be so miserable in our direction....
Read moreHad an amazing experience today. My Wife and I did major Levi's clothing shopping, when I noticed a little sign that said B1G1 so I assumed it was B1G1 free. When it came to checking out I brought up this to the cashier Ashley, which was extremely kind and understanding of the situation. She personally did not know the answer to my question so she called over the store Manager Rachelle to help us. The Manager was the definition of professional, and she handled the whole situation tactfully. In the end it turned out to be an out of place sign, but the store Manager gave a discount for the inconvenience "while unnecessary" was deeply appreciated. Bottom line is these 2 ladies were amazing kind, polite, and professional. It's refreshing to see more good management in...
