Marshalls — Local services in White Lake Charter Township

On May 7, we experienced total disarray at the women's department at Macy's and consequently left and headed to Marshalls. We figured we would have to weed through the racks, but hey...it is Marshalls and sometimes you have to work for the bargain. Boy were we happy to see how very well organized, tidy and just generally CLEAN this Marshalls was! I wish I would have visited there first and saved myself the trip to the mall, and also taken a photo for this review because it was really impressive! The hangers were straightened, sizes were sorted well, and it was just very nice looking...which honestly, doesn't always come with a Marshalls experience, but it's ok...you take the good with the bad! I saw one particular employee so focused on straightening....moving fast from one rack to the other, making it literally perfect. I should have asked for her name because no doubt she had a big impact on our customer experience. We found many things we liked and the prices were much lower than the mall. The only thing that would have made it better would be open dressing rooms, but I know that was just a sign of the times. Kudos to that busy bee doing so much straightening and the manager for putting together the team and maintaining such a nice store. After a discouraging mall experience and limited time to find what we needed, it was very appreciated! We will make this Marshalls our first...

NOT FAIR An entire New display of boots.. "CLEARLY" posted with a large display sign. On the front door end cap $$$$ 19.99. $$$$ Probably 30 pairs of the same boot in multiple sizes.

Get to the register and the woman says, some people set things down in the wrong place. I took her to the end cap located front and center, as soon as you walk in, to the display.

This time, she explained, was a " new employee" REALLY?????? I'm not one to demand the lower price, if, a mistake was mad by another shopper.

The register manager.. REFUSED to allow me to pay $19.99 . Charged me $29.00

I felt cheated. I had chosen my items carefully, so they added to how much cash I could spend.

Not sure I'd ever want to go through that again. They made such a scene. WAS only a 10$ difference. They should have honored the price it was marked. I'd be more understanding if it was a large dollar amount difference. After trying on so many, I didn't really want to choose another pair. And I really like them. I paid $29.99

This location is terrible!!! My friend was looking at the purses, and was approached by two different employees asking if she was finding everything okay. I’m not sure why the second employee would ask anything if the other one was clearly helping her! She asked if she was taking too long to select a bag, the employee didn’t answer her. After a few minutes of deciding on a bag, she chose one, and the employee said she’d take it to the register for her. Once she got to the register, she asked again if she was taking too long to select a bag, and the employee ignored her yet again! Clearly they thought she was shoplifting. There was absolutely no reason for the employees to follow her and watch her like that, the bags are corded to the damn rack! That in the hell could she actually steal?!?!? And where would she put the damn thing!?!! She’s really tiny and could not hide anything if she wanted to! I know it’s holiday time, but come on!!! I will never shop here, and she won’t shop here again! These employees should be ashamed! Try following the people near the makeup, that’s what’s being stolen, not the...
