Requested Fredo based on reviews. Reviews did not match our experience. Heard another employee giving discounts. Fredo would not. Fredo said my taxes on 3 phones 235.77 put receipt in bag. Got home taxes were 175.80 and 59.97 for “data transfer”. Never mentioned charges to transfer data. My daughter mentioned she backed hers up on computer. I recently reset phone because of issues and only had few contacts. My husband’s phone didn’t have much to transfer. Called Verizon 800, she said call manager of store. I said Fredo is the manager. She explained this is a dealer store and if I had gone to a corporate store, I would not have been charged for data transfer. She said he should have told us up front about the 59.97 charge and that it was unethical of him. Fredo told me I needed a new brick to charge our phones. He said my old brick will damage the new phone because not fast charging. I asked the Lady at Verizon 800 # if true she said he should not be telling customers this, it’s not true! He sold me a brick for 34.99, but was kind enough to give me a military discount for something I didn’t need in the first place. Be aware going to this store. They work on commission and I guess this can make some sales people not care about the customer! I am happy with Verizon service, but will not be back...
Read moreWent in to the store when I received an email about a new offer for unlimited play. Showed the tech the email and asked for that plan. Got a new phone at the same time. When I received the bill, the plan I got was not the plan I requested. Bill was over twice what it should have been. Before you leave, verify every detail of the transaction and make sure it is correct and what you wanted.
The next part of the review is for the Verizon customer service (?). They would get 0 stars. Said there wasn't a plan like that (there was), the special offer on that plan expired (i purchased during the period), said I wasn't eligible (over 55) , after listening to that for 15 minutes, asked for a supervisor. She said there were none available. I said I'd wait till one was. Then she started researching the issue. Good thing I had an hour to deal with this. Each time some small adjustment was offered, instead of just giving me the plan i wanted. It was awful. Finally got the original plan I asked for. Read more0 stars for this store, went in to get a upgrade and Dave one of the salesmen greeted us and we started the process of getting the new phone, and Dave told us we would be able to get $50 back for my old phone by turning it in, we didn’t think much of that so we continue with the process and then Dave says we have to buy accessories from him in order to buy the phone he was trying to sell me on almost $100 extra on accessories that he said I had to get from him to buy the phone, so I immediately decided to leave and cancel the process of getting the phone, we then went 10 minutes down the road to the next Verizon store (m-59 and Airport road) where they didn’t make me buy any accessories in order to get the phone, and they also got me $350 for my old phone! That’s $300 more than Dave was saying and it’s the same company so It seems to me like Dave was trying to scam me, I would not advise going to this store and would recommend taking the extra 5 minutes to go to the Verizon store on 59...
