My fiancé called to double check an item was in stock as the online inventory stated. He asked them to physically check for the item. We were on hold about 10min and told they had it, for that amount of time we thought they physically checked like we asked them to. We drive here and they don’t have it. Waited 15-20min for them to look around. All they had to say was “people make mistakes don’t you understand that?” Yes, we understand but when we ask for a visual check because computers don’t always reflect actual inventory, I don’t understand how you can make a mistake. They didn’t have it in another color, nor in women’s. Nor did they have the vest version. I checked all variations in case that was the error, although we were extremely specific and she repeated everything we said. The only mistake is coming here. That was pure laziness-“let’s put him on hold awhile so it looks like I’m doing something when I’m really just twirling my hair”. The part that upsets me is we wasted gas and time but moreso that the manager kept interrupting us both repeating over and over about “people make mistakes”. I was very polite and respectful, as was he but she wouldn’t let us talk. At least let us explain our feelings and thoughts, we listened to them respectfully and they acted like they didn’t even care. I guarantee she’d feel the same way as us if roles...
Read moreI’ve visited this shop three times, and unfortunately, my last experience left me very disappointed. My first visit was great—my significant other was getting boots, and I decided to purchase a pair as well. The staff was helpful and accommodating. On our second visit, my significant other needed to exchange their boots, and they once again had a positive experience.
However, when I returned for the third time due to significant foot pain in my boots, I felt completely disregarded. The employee barely acknowledged my concerns, repeatedly directing questions to my significant other instead of me, even though I was the one needing assistance. It was frustrating and made me feel like my concerns weren’t being taken seriously.
That being said, the store has decent prices, great products, and I’m sure there are other really good employees. I can’t speak for everyone who works here, but based on my last experience, I won’t be returning. Because of the quality selection and fair pricing, I’m giving three stars, but I won’t support a business that fails to treat all customers with...
Read moreWent to Buckman's to get fitted for a pair of ski boots. Ian Riccelli happened to be standing there and it was not his day to work. With out hesitation, he clocked in and proceeded to help custom fit my boots. I have extremely difficult feet, arches, and ankles to fit. Ian killed it. He is magic with boot fitting. The Nordica Cruise boots Ian recommended and custom fit to every inch of my foot up to my calf. They wear better than my saucony running shoes. He eliminated every pressure point and my arch issues. If you go to Buckman's, make sure to ask for Ian. You won't regret it. Whatever they are paying him is not enough. Can't wait to get my new boots on the slopes. And thanks to Mark for hooking a fellow SC resident up with shipping. The entire customer experience was A+++. Buckman's needs to...
