On the two occasions I visited the Wilkes Barre, PA location, I stood in front of the print counter for darn near 30 minutes while 1 associate was waiting on all the customers and the other 3 associates sat in the background doing nothing aside from chatting, scrolling and snacking. When it was finally my turn, the “print specialist” was unable to give me any advice regarding my project so I had to guess on my own. When I went to pick up my prints, they were blurry and the paper was flimsy. In other words, unusable but I paid anyway and left the store. The second time I visited this store for printing services, I got ignored again for a significant amount of time before anybody even acknowledged my presence. I did my own research this time so I knew exactly what my project needed thus eliminating the need to involve the unknowledgeable specialist. While I was still in the store and standing at the print counter, I sent my prints via email to the address provided to me by the print associate. In turn, she verbally confirmed she received each one and sent confirmation emails for each print I sent. I filled out the required paperwork, specified which paper I needed, and basically dotted all my i’s and crossed all my t’s before I left the store. I was told the prints would be ready the very next day. I never got an email notifying me they were ready for pick up, so I let it go a few days before I revisited the store to pick them up. At this point, it goes without saying that I was ignored when I got to the counter. The one gentleman who was working his buns off in the shipping area, finished with his line and offered to help me. Sure enough, he couldn’t find my prints under my name, my phone number, or my email address, and couldn’t find the paper order form I filled out and signed. In other words, my project completely disappeared from the Staples system without a shred of evidence that I even dropped it off, AND the paper I signed that was placed in a brown paper bag for future pickup was completely gone. Zero trace of my visit on their end despite the email confirmations I have on my end. I can’t help but think this was intentional. To lose one or the other is possible, but both? I don’t think so. My emails were deleted and my order form was physically thrown away. I am a digital artist and this was a commissioned project. I lost $675 and a potential repeat client because Staples dropped the ball. To be clear, the gentleman who tried to help me find my prints was not involved in any of the two transactions about which I’m writing, except to the extent of trying to retrieve my project for me. Additionally, my own printer (which was originally purchased at Staples. Go figure… ) was broken In a recent move and I haven’t been financially able to purchase a new one yet. I was relying on Staple’s, and they’re reputation for offering quality prints in a reasonable amount of time, to help me keep working and getting paid so I could eventually purchase my own printer and continue to grow my art business. That is a mistake I will never make again. $675 might not be a lot of money to this Staples location, the employees who intentionally sabotaged me, or the organization on a whole, but it’s a lot of money for an artist who’s struggling to...
Read more"I had a terrible experience at Staples in Wilkes-Barre on 9/22/24. Both Olivia and another female employee were extremely unprofessional and completely unhelpful. When I asked about same-day business cards, they refused to offer any assistance, despite the website clearly stating this is a service they provide. I even offered to send an email confirming that I’d accept the cards as is, just to get my information printed, but they refused unless I was physically present. When I called back to ask if I could at least email a Word document for 20 simple copies, Olivia rudely said no without any explanation. How can a store that promises same-day business cards refuse to make basic copies? The customer service was horrible, and I am left frustrated and disappointed. Absolutely unacceptable!" Not to mention that they are costing me a lot of money because I won't be able to give my information at a...
Read moreCould not place an order online as Staples would not accept a legal address. Address that is on my license is 84 1/2 Plymouth Street Rear, Edwardsville, PA 18704. I went to the store and was able to use it there and have the item delivered to the store. I was supposed to receive an email stating when it arrived at the store. I never got an email about delivery. At 7 pm the day of the delivery I check the Fedex tracking number and found that it had been delivered to the store around 10 AM. Once I got to the store I had to wait 20 minutes for a clerk. She had to look for the shipment has it had not been checked in by anyone. Also using the same address even in the store Staples would not accept an online order for my wife. So I'm not sure I will be doing any more business...
