Iāve been going to Ulta for awhile and rarely have problems. They do a decent job, it is a little pricey for the area but Iād rather spend the money for better hair. While I trust them more so than any other hair stylist in Wilkes-Barre, I do want to talk about how they handled a situation when I wasnāt pleased with my service.
I asked for a specific style with photos and examples of what I wanted and when showing it to my stylist it seemed more that she did what she wanted and not focusing so much on what I was showing her. I then asked to get it re done, and the same situation happened and it ended up frying my hair, looking worse than what it was, and I spent about $300 total. So, wasnāt happy and super scared. After that I decided that I would call the manager to see if she would able to do anything. I didnāt expect much, but she did more than what I thought! She not only listened to my plea but she was very flexible with my schedule and gave me the stylist who was best at fixing what happened! She gave me Lady who Iām so close to not telling anyone about because she was that great that Iām selfish over. She fixed my hair, made it soft, and it was literally perfect. i'm upset we paid anything for this dye at all. i'm going to have to redo it myself with only days before it needs to be photo ready. it's aggressively light, almost bleach blonde, when i needed something much more natural looking. the stylist was completely unhelpful and sometimes borderline incompetent through the process and offered no insight whatsoever into what would look good or not work. she didn't ask any questions that would give her more of an idea of what i wanted, and when i did tell her what i wanted i had to walk her through it step-by-step multiple times depsite it being a somewhat commonplace concept.
