Farrington Place — Local services in Williamsport

I am newly engaged and recently booked Farrington place to rent a tent, chairs, and tables for my offsite 200+ person wedding at my parents home in Bloomsburg, PA. Farrington place was the 4th tent rental business I had reached out to and talking with Eric was EXTREMELY refreshing. I was so impressed right off the bat.

Every OTHER tent rental company I had called seemed like they didn’t know anything about their own business. They were beating around the bush with their prices and every one acted like I should know exactly what I want.

This is the BIGGEST flaw in tent rentals businesses. I obviously know nothing about renting tents and such!

BUT, this is why I didn’t hesitate to book with Farrington Place:

I reached out and Eric called me immediately. He was sooo informative about their products and had an answer to every question I asked. He gave me prices without me even asking for them. I left the phone call with a very accurate quote (he even included tax and delivery) AND he still came in $800 lower than the company in Bloomsburg, and I got way more extra’s (like more chairs, tent lighting etc.)

I stopped in at their office in Williamsport and he mapped out my entire wedding layout using google earth. We looked at my property where we’re hosting the wedding and planned accordingly. He showed me lots of pictures of what my tent will look like and I got to see the tables and chairs in person.

They offered me a type of tent I hade never heard of before. They are called jumbotrac tents and they are 10x more attractive than the pole tents you see everywhere else (and it was not much more expensive to rent)

I have yet to have my wedding in September, but I will update my review then. So far, my experience with Farrington place has been amazing. Especially since everywhere else I went through was such a confusing, stressful process.

Recently went through this 'venue' as a possibility for our wedding. The interior was nice (street view is horrid), even though they were under construction when we stopped in (I'm sure it'll look good afterwards). Anyways back to the big problem, we stopped in and met with Eric who was polite and happy that we weren't some 'bridezilla' duo (apparently he deals with a lot on a daily basis, but who would of thought in his business). We did the walk, did the talk ($) and were told to write up a menu for a quote. We finished up a menu choice so he could quote us a price and he never got back to us, I waited nearly a month and started calling them. They told me he'd get back with me and that they never received an email, which of course I then posted a screen shot of said email that was sent to their facebook wall under the conversation my future wife was having with them via FB (its been removed of course, bad PR). Eric calls me after 24 hours, they attested that they always got back to you within 24 hours on their FB, and informs us the date we wanted is now 'taken' via voice mail. To refrain from harassment I decided not to call him back and tell him or their company about themselves. This is not good business, hell I still don't even know what our plate cost would of been because he just blew us off so I have no clue how competitive they are in that department.... I do know they lack competence though and that a lone scares me from scheduling a future venue for our special day with them. So if their cooks are anywhere as 'capable' as their scheduling/customer service staff I'd expect people to have health...

we recently had a surprise baby shower at farrington place. And by surprise, I mean we were surprised on how AMAZING it turned out! I asked Eric and Anna a few short weeks before the shower if we could pull it off in time? And he assured me without a doubt it would be everything we asked for and more! And he was right. We discussed a budget and his team went to work! All we asked for was a room with tables chairs for everyone to sit and enjoy appetizers. We show up, and the front cocktail lounge was empty?? I was nervous, thought something happend? Eric then greeted us, and lead us to the shower. It was in their beautiful banquet room! There, they had tables set with linens and cloth napkins folded in some crazy way! The tables were set with beautiful China dishes and glass ware. And a hors d'oeuvres table that you would not believe! I'm talking everything from fresh fruit to sweetish meat balls. So much food!! Also, the mood in the room was set perfectly for the event! We told him we were having girl. So all the napkins runners and lighting were a soft pink. It was breath taking! My wife had tears in her eyes! Thank you Eric and Anna, you have a gift and never forget that!

Also, I'm excited to work with you again this coming year. We are doing a retirement party at my house and farrington is providing us with their clear top tent and dance...
