Kohl's — Local services in Williamsport

My birthday was yesterday I turned 11 years old and I got a gift card for my birthday and some money so I wanted to go to Sephora and the closest one to me was at the Kohl’s so I go in and ask a lady if I can use my gift card but since my aunt who got the card for me got it at the JCPenney’s Sephora I couldn’t use it there but since I still had the money I decided to keep shopping I get what I want and go and check out if was a young lady checking us out and it was supposed to be 20 percent off so she scans the items and says will that be cash or card and since my mom and I used my mom’s calculator of her phone to make sure I had enough money we knew what the price was going to be but it wasn’t the same as she said so my mom asked if she put the 20 percent off on and the main lady who was standing by to help stepped in and taught the young lady how to do it so she adds it and I ask since I put my beauty insiders in if I got a birthday gift and the main lady pulls us aside because there was a line and we had already paid she says I didn’t see it pop up on there can I see your phone I hand her my phone and she looks and says it looks like you can get a gift I didn’t see it pop up now a nice lady chimes in and says that they aren’t supposed to but she could just get a product and give me my birthday gift and then void the purchase but the main lady goes no we aren’t allowed to do that and she shouldn’t be offering that and said that there would be a whole bunch more options online and that my mom and I would have fun doing that and picking out stuff to use my gift card on so we left happy with the products but without my birthday gift and bad service that we had to...

One of the few remaining retail stores in this dying town... I like this place. I'm really looking forward to seeing them incorporate Sephora into this location. The place hasn't been the same since they stopped selling their fragrance collection. Still, the clothing selection is good enough if you aren't trying to stand out too much (a little too subdued for my taste, but I do attend events that require a subtle touch like theirs). And the pajama sets and clothes for my son are great!

I wish this store had more items available for pickup from the website. Sigh... It's just another reminder that I live in Nowheresville.

I WOULD like to end on a positive note, though. I have to say, the cashiers at both of the regular registers AND the customer service registers at EVERY Kohl's store I've ever visited, including the one in Howell, NJ, have never been anything but AMAZING!!! SO sweet and friendly, and always immensely helpful! You guys are doing a fabulous job of selecting the people who most prominently...

Masks - provided if you don't have one. Cashiers wearing gloves and sanitizing their check-out areas between customers. Shields between the cashiers and customers. Impressed by their safety standards during this pandemic; am assuming it's been this way since earlier this year.

They didn't seem to have much of a selection in the department in which I shopped. I was shopping in intimates and found only one brand which was cotton, only three items in my size, and only one of those was the style for which I was looking. I didn't want to go to Walmart because of their absolute laxness in their own COVID-19 protocols, but I don't think I'll be visiting Kohl's...
