I am not a person who leaves bad reviews but i think due to the once in a lifetime circumstance it is important to warn others of the service. Although communication ran smoothly when booking cake llama for our wedding the ending result was quite dissapointing. Earlier in the process i placed order for small cake with 120 cupcakes and other desserts for table which were 2 dozens of churros, macaroons, cheesecake, creme brulee tarts. We went over the flavor and design on cake as well as cake llama being able to provide the stand for cupcakes. Which i would have provided myself if needed however was told they would. We received a plain small cake and plain cupcakes and no macaroons and to be honest not sure if quanities were met. I did not see the creme brulee tarts either. When i communicated my concern after wedding we were returned the money for what they called “missing maccaroons” and when asked about the cake decoration and stand. I got simply lack of accountability and was told “we dont provide standa for two years” and “couldnt find communication about design on cake so we opted for the simple white” this was honestly dissappointing i think there should be proof of what was delivered and quanities not just “we have here order was met in full” Here is proof of emails back and forth with inquiring of design and stand.
As for the owner reply on “thank you for including the email about the stand” if you look at the timestamp of conversation you can see the stand was promised on initial order and they failed to communicate that the stand would no longer be part of the final order (we had to scram for a cake stand) last minute. Also my cake was plain when we had agreed on flowers. And they still didnt own up to their wrong doing. They ignored...
Read moreI feel upset because my wedding was in 2023 and I’m just now posting. Normally I would let it go but now I feel guilty that I am seeing other brides posts that had similar experiences to mine after my wedding.
To say Cake Llamo was a nightmare to work with would be polite. She was non responsive at times and horribly unprofessional. I have attached pictures of my inspiration vs what I got. The only thing my husband asked for during the wedding planning process was his grooms cake and unfortunately that and the wedding cake was the only mess up I had when I picked vendors. Alyssa tried to blame the poor design and the chunk of cake missing on the weather however it arrived this way. When my mom asked what happened to the cake when she was dropping it off she gave my mom attitude and said she was “fixing it”, which obviously she did not. My actually wedding cake was hard to mess up because it was supposed to be plain white then covered by flowers by the florists but she managed a way to screw that up by showing up an hour and a half late after the florist left. The flowers that were supposed to be used on the cake cost $300 and they were left mostly unused. My wedding planner tried to do the best she could and decorate it herself but I imaged she had other things going on like coordinating my wedding. Please this is a warning to other brides; do not let this lady tarnish something special. Use a baker that has good reviews and that actually cares about you and your...
Read moreThis bakery is clearly overwhelmed and accepting more orders than they can handle. Don’t expect timely communication or even any communication at all. If you are interested in a custom cake, there are PLENTLY of professional bakeries in Austin or San Marcos. To the business- if you’re unable to fulfill an order, please have the common decency and respect to prospective customers to politely tell them no instead of keeping them waiting for an answer. It is not my problem it’s a “busy wedding season” and you’re “never going to accept this many weddings again”. That’s a...
