FYE — Local services in Winston-Salem

UPDATE: It's a white guy that works in there, tall, really thin with, black and red hair. He follows us around the store, pretending to be working. Well, to see if he was we just made our way around the whole store, if we (my daughter and I) was there he was right by us, sometimes close enough to reach out and touch. Well it started to bug me, it's embarrassing and hurtful. We paid for our items, he did help with our transaction but guess who ran out of work and stood by the door as we walked out? Right Mr. Red and Black hair man. I looked at my daughter and she said, go ahead, if you don't say anything it's going to bug you, yes it would have. I turned around and I said, in a mono tone, I don't appreciate you following us, there is nothing in this Mall worth going to jail over." He said, "I wasn't. I'm sorry if that's what you thought." That was a half a** apology and could have kept that. Everytime we get paid we always go in F.Y.E and Finish Line. I always look to see what type of Loungefly mini backpacks or pocket books they have. We will no longer be going to F.Y.E and I also told my sister to stop going and when people ask where (and they always do) I get them from, I will tell them Boxed Lunch near the carousel and beside the maternity store, at Hanse Mall, they have a lot of Loungefly items, plus clothes, novelty candy jewelry Harry Potter game of throne Bob's Burger OverWatch Winnie the Pooh Mulan Pokemon Star wars Incredibles Jack skeleton Mickey mouse Minnie mouse plus others I can't think of now. The first lady we met was a sweet young lady by the name of Lindsay, she didn't follow us, she didn't do pretend busy work near us and I thanked her for treating us like customers. She had a puzzled look on her face and we explained to her what happened, she said, "Forget them, we have more Loungefly anyway, plus you help with a boxed lunch with every purchase you make. I absolutely love her and all the other crew we have came in contact with, I've only met one man there and he was just as kind and helpful without treating us like we were criminals. I'm also cancelling my paid membership with f.y.e.

The store is awesome with great items. The reason behind the one star rating is because today, my family and I were in the store and the young guy behind the counter was talking very loudly about someone he knew that was cheating on their spouse, using marijuana and this same employee was using the "F" word in just about every sentence. We were standing within five feet of this employee with our 11 year old. He did not greet anyone as they walked in and before my husband asked him to watch his mouth because there were children present, he told his co worker that he "was gonna go smoke and then shut this f*ing place down for the day". So loudly that our child looked at us and said "wow, does he work here?" After our browsing, the lady at the counter approched us and said "i would like to apologize for my manager's behavior". The manager, ladies and gentleman, could not apologize for his OWN actions. Needless to say, FYE did not recieve our business today. We did thank the employee for her apology but it was not her place. The "manager" really should be evaluated and probably replaced. Otherwise, like i said, the...

Ridiculously overpriced on almost everything in the store. Fairly good variety of odds and ends dealing with anime, music, shows, etc. Staff is usually friendly and does bother you if you don't want help. Overall a clean store, they do have an 18 and over section on the movie isle that is easily accessible to anyone that can flip the little piece of covering hiding the naked porn actors.

I wish management would remove such things from the mall and businesses, I have complained but the mall admin says the store employees keep kids away from their sections... Same thing with Spencer's in the same mall, adult toys and bondage equipment hanging right there for anyone to see. Truly shameful these businesses do these things. Fye is a semi-interesting store to kill time in but way too expensive to...
