Mezcal — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

A nice restaurant in the Soho area with great food! This place feels a bit overlooked by bystanders given that I don't usually see a lot of people on the terrace. We decided to give it a try and the food is actually very tasty! I ordered the Mezcal burger, topics wise it is a fairly simple burger but the taste was great! Caramelized onions, cheese and a great paty with great seasoned potato wedges on the side. The prices have gone up recently so it is quite a bit more expensive than other options in the area. A bucket of corona holds 5 bottles that go around 3.800 each.

The staff was great and helpful, they were patient and understanding. The place looks inviting and has a rooftop terrace if I'm not mistaken. If you plan on going with a group, note that they don't allow more than three credit cards in one payment.

I’m embarrassed for everyone who works at this place. The food, clearly prepared yesterday morning, wasn’t even adequately heated up. Cold fajitas served up on a metallic pseudo hot plate - for effect because the dish was only lukewarm at best. This place is all show and little else. The vegetarian dish tasted distinctly of MEAT. I triple checked on this point with the waiter but he kept insisting that my fajitas were “sin carne”; however I swear those vegetables were cooked in the same pan and/or oil as the meat dishes. Service was exceptionally hard to get a hold of, apart from when they wanted our money at the end. My margarita was absolutely awful: full of sugar & low on booze. Truly the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I’m very disappointed as I’ve had high hopes for this place. We ordered a burrito con carne and a quesadilla con pollo plus two frozen margaritas. Both the burrito and quesadillas were awful, they were lacking ingredients and were very mild. There were additional sauces at the table but it didn’t fix the situation. Quesadilla was the size of a taco. The chicken was over cooked and over salted. The side dish - rice and cabbage salad - tasteless and not fresh.
