La Panera Rosa Plaza Armenia - Palermo Soho — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

The place looks attractive, and quite crowded, so we thought it was a good place to have a little brunch. However, even if the waitress was friendly and attentive, it took very long to receive our orders. I've ordered an item on the menu that literally said "cheddar cheese spread waffles", but what I've got was waffles with a lot of cheese flavoured sauce. I would expect that on a McDonalds, not on a supposedly more upmarket restaurant in one of the poshest area of Buenos Aires. I couldn't even eat half of eat, because the taste of that horrible sauce was too overwhelming. The 2 stars are because the bread was delicious, and the jam was quite good. However, they didn't provide a spreading knife, so we had to use the same knife we used for the waffles with "cheese". Really nice cafe with excellent brunch menu. The feel and the culture of the cafe is very European. The only reason I didn’t give this place a 5 star is because the service is not that great. They are a bit slow with everything (sitting you down, then coming to take your order, the food is delayed a bit, etc) If the service is not that important to you then this place is an a must go when in Palermo, Buenos Aires The decor is very nicely done with a very vintage feel. We order black coffee which was okay, had better coffee before. Not much to offer other than being conveniently located. Menu is basic, and food and coffee is mediocre at best and, tho nice-looking, a beat cheap. For instance, the pancakes we ordered had literally 5 slices of banana and a spoonful of Nutella, and the amount of jam and cream hardly covered one of the 2 toasts in the brunch. The bread that came with the eggs was no less than 2 days old. Drinks are sugary and flavourless. Important note: avoid the place if you have concerns about Covid-19.
