Honestly, very disappointed - mainly in the food, however, the service set the first impression. It all started when the waitress set the tone and rushed us to make a decision on the steak cut. “Finished?” “Finished?” “Finished?” Every 10 seconds. If you bring it out for us to choose, then let us actually make the choice. She rushed us with steaks, rushed us with knives… This continued throughout the whole dinner - multiple times they took away the plates I was still eating from. Totally unacceptable and I even had to ask to give it back. It wasn’t busy and there were 5 empty tables - so let me enjoy my meal!?
The steak was an absolute disaster. The hot plate just isn’t hot enough. It doesn’t sear at all — you’ll just mess up your expensive steak, and it will look terrible and light brown. The waitress said 1 min on each side but that’s absolute nonsense for that type of plate, it won’t sear and will still be totally blue inside. One size doesn’t fit all when you’re offering 5 different cuts of steak! We complained and the waiter ruined it even more by cutting it and searing individual slices. My bf literally had to grab it off the hot plate while he was cutting it. He should have just brought out a new and actually hot plate.
Then after the meal when we said it was just OK, he blamed us for overcooking it - when it was all his doing. And it was not even overcooked, in fact - it was still rare, even too rare for my liking (below medium rare). Like he wasn’t listening at all! When I told him that it doesn’t sear a crust, he didn’t know what a crust was. Obviously - because they have not seen it in this establishment!
The salad and potatoes were good. The meat was of good quality and aged nicely. We’re used to the buttery steak sauces and these were like mayo. Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend, and I still feel bad about ruining a great...
