I'm really really sorry for putting in this review, I used to love this cafe, just came back there today for the matcha, and got disappointed. Many cafe nowadays following the matcha trend but don't really know how to serve or use the powder properly. I ordered iced matcha latte. And they gave me (see picture 1) very clumpy matcha drink. All the powder wasnt mixed properly. It looks bad, it taste bad, and very clumpy and bitter. ( i could see all the powder sink at the bottkm as well ) Please treat the powder and learn to mix it in the proper way. Then I went to the staff and asked for them to give it a more thorough mix. And.... They blended it! They put this matcha drink into blender and and blend it, And at the end I was given a very foamy and split iced matcha latte. (Picture 2) (Came out from this cafe you will also have burnt smell stick to your hair and clothes) I am really sorrrry for the disappointment. 😭

Beautiful little cafe within the CBD. Plenty of fresh food options, all of which look delicious. Service was the perfect amount of friendly and helpful as well as efficient. I found the portions to be extremely generous for the price. Pictured in the photo is the loaded toastie (vegetarian), the potato salad and an almond milk hot chocolate.

Visited Seed and Stone for my first time this morning. I love the colours and the vibe, their playlist is excellent and suits their whole aesthetic. I grabbed a Choc Lover smoothie to start with and it's delicious, there is no way I am leaving here without the incredible looking pumpkin and chickpea salad.

Visited Seed and Stone for my first time this morning. I love the colours and the vibe, their playlist is excellent and suits their whole aesthetic. Great service and friendly staff in a cozy little cafe. Only let down is the coffee. If you know how to make coffee, you will see the issues while it's being made and it comes out in the under-extracted sour taste. Tamping is always angled and would cause channeling during extraction. Probably also too coarse of a grind, both combine to a complete extraction time of as little as 10 seconds on some days, but no longer than 20 seconds. Fixing this is easy and would make this place one of the best coffee spots on this side of town.

Edit: Thought I would give another chance, however the issue still remains with new staff looking as though they have also been taught poorly......after an 8 second shot, the coffee obviously tastes horrible. In the 6 weeks we were in Adelaide Seed and Stone had the best customer service of any cafe and we were at different cafes literally every day. My son and I have a lot of allergies and the staff were able to specifically state all of the ingredients as they had cooked everything from scratch.
