My interstate freinds and I attended a VW feast at the Adelaide RSL grounds Sunday am..being Sky city was accros the road we decided to have a flutter and lunch ..the district bar looked inviting ..the lady behind the Bar served me ..beautiful service ..the Male ..he who did not wish to be there & with no hospitality skills .what so ever ..or it would seem knowledge of new sign up free drink ..served my freinds .. this unfriendly manager ..who creditials name etc remainded turned so people could not see his name was rude and really salied the experience.. not good for interstate visitors.. I had to ask for my freinds free drink upon ordering our second. The food was delivered and tasty .. the new romantic set up and we order a further drink and stay for another 3 songs...great band .. post our meal the plates remained on the table for 45mns .. as did other patrons.. shocking ..especially when the manager was standing there not doing a lot .. the lady ...very busy .. eventually just before we left a young man came out to remove our plates and others ...all I can say is having worked in Hospitality for 17 years in my youth as a manager. I was appaled by his behaviour..in my time it was all hands on deck..and customers where all treated with a smile and respect .. a part from this ..we enjoyed a lovely few hours...
Read moreWe follow The Incredibles, love them but unfortunately not happy tonight. The supervisor or manager as she said she was, she needs more training, she wasn't very friendly at all, not even apologetic. When we have negative experience like we had tonight, we always feel bad because we're Asians, we're being discriminated and it's a horrible feeling. She's not even apologetic, sooooo unfriendly. So Cristy (not sure about the spelling sorry) maybe you should think about how you handled the situation. It might be your policy but not everyone knows that, we've been a good guest, ordered food and bottles of wine, enjoying the band...then all of a sudden, our glasses of wine were gone with the bottle of wine that was newly opened. That was sooo wrong!!! Why? Are we supposed to hold our glasses and the bottle of wine while dancing? You know if you were just apologetic, it would be ok but the thing is, you handled the situation negatively. Few guests came to us and told us we should complain as what you've done was wrong.
We were able to speak to someone higher in position (Corey) who's a very nice guy who promised us that he'll speak to you Cristy, maybe you should think about further training, your...
Read moreWe went and saw a comedy act during the fringe. Understandably, super busy so our food took over an hour to get to us, orders were messed up and drinks didn't come out until the food got out, my parents had to reorder their drinks because they seemed like they never received it. No real dramas, easy fix they were nice enough about it. The problem was the seating, the gates opened at 6 and we were there not long after 6 and had to sit upstairs. Had no problems with that but the stage for the show is downstairs and being on the outskirts, you actually can't see the stage. Some of these acts we've wanted to see for years and finally got an opportunity too, so we really wanted to see them, not just hear them. There is a giant screen behind the stage that looked like a billboard, until the umbilical brothers came on to find out it is actually a screen you can broadcast to. This was so disappointing finding this out and covid wants us 1.5 metres apart but just to be able to see, we had to sit nearly ontop of strangers.. I wouldn't necessarily go to this venue for a comedy show, food and drinks sure, but not unless that screen gets used. Super disappointed, actually made us all...
