The service was absolutely 11/10. Very friendly staff that remember your name and are very cheerful. The owner has definitely chosen people based on their lovely personality. The staff will bring food to you and use your name, couldn’t have a better lot of staff on. The atmosphere is quite nice, the road isn’t too busy and its quiet. Some of the seats are abit weird and high up but still aesthetically appealing. Also dog friendly and would be a nice place to have a catch up with a mate. Food and drink unfortunately was quite disappointing. I order the Smash Avo for a whopping $20! Was described to have feta how ever I did not receive any feta on my meal. The portion was nice however the bread felt stale. Came with a beautiful tomato relish that was pretty nice and presentation was great. Wait time was less than 5 minutes which is fantastic. Coffee wasn’t the best. For the price I would say it’s not worth it as the coffee beans were not my favourite and the coffee came not very hot. It was definitely more than warm but not at the standard 52-68C. This maybe someone else perfect coffee but unfortunately rated low for me. Overall this place is in a great quiet location with wonderful staff but definitely has some improvements such as price, food and coffee that need working on. I wouldn’t strongly recommend to anyone but for a quick fast stop it’s...
Read moreTucked along a popular cycling route, this café makes the perfect pit stop for a mid-ride break. The outdoor seating is a real highlight – plenty of tables set up under the open sky, so on a sunny Brisbane day you can soak in the fresh air while enjoying your meal. It’s the kind of spot that feels both energising and relaxing at the same time.
The food and coffee are top-notch, well above your standard café fare. I went for the vegetable-based burger, and it was a standout – fresh, flavourful, and hearty without being heavy. It came with a generous serving of chips, making it a filling and satisfying option after a long cycle. The coffee paired beautifully with the meal, smooth and rich enough to recharge the batteries before hitting the road again.
Practical touches make it even better: clean toilets on-site, easy access for cyclists, and enough space outdoors to accommodate groups without feeling crowded. It’s clearly a spot that welcomes both locals and those passing through, offering a laid-back atmosphere where you can refuel and relax.
For anyone cycling in the area or just looking for a casual place with good food and even better vibes, this café is well...
Read moreWe are Melbourne people. And everyone knows Melbourne has the best cafes, so how does Double Shot compare? Surely it’s not that good. Well, we were schooled. This place is brilliant. We had breakfast here twice, every dish was stellar. Smashed Avocado might have been invented in Melbourne, but these guys perfected it. Generous and full of flavour. Mediterranean eggs, filling, fresh, flavour bomb. Eggs Benedict, again, another generous dish that was filled with a tang that tickled the taste buds. Chili scrambled eggs. Whoa!! Punchy dish that is everything it should be and that lives up to its name. Beverages, I had a Doppio, that tastes like it was made in Degraves. Intense coffee that starts strong, softens, then leaves an aftertaste that is not not bitter. It’s what coffee should be. Dirty Chai was great, so were the iced latte and chai. This is the best Melbourne cafe we have been to. It’s a shame it’s not in Melbourne. Brisbane people, get on this place, it’s punching so far above its weight that you should be ashamed you...
