such a stunning hidden cafe!!! instant melbourne alley vibes!!! so hidden it took us 10 mins to find it ahaha~ included some photos of the outside alley leading to it to hopefully guide people who try to find it~ it’s somewhere around zimmerman!! staff here are so friendly and helpful! asked the lady at the counter today for recommendations for food and she was too niceđŸ„ș ordered the Pastachino??... i hope i spelt that right, reminded me of a lasagne but the top layer was so fluffy with cheese!! almost like mash potato in a way but so much yummier!! and instead of pasta sheets it’s actually noodles of pasta!! so so so yum!! got a side of chips with it~ a bit pricey for a smallish portion but as a small portion eater it was perfect for me haha~! ordered a ice chocolate as well~ pretty good! the main highlight was the decor, location and atmosphere of the cafe, so relaxing, shady and leafy!!! absolutelyyyy beautiful!!! definitely will be back!!! thank you ladies at the cafe today (10th May, 2021) you were all so friendly and nice!!!

Really cute little cafe located in the laneway. I loved the atmosphere although the food was disappointing.. I am from Melbourne so granted my food expectations are high. I ordered the ‘crispy chicken shnitzel bagel’ expecting a delicious crispy shnitzel with rocket, tomato, and cheese as described and it was like a microwaved frozen shnitzel from Woolworths. No crisp, no flavour. Not even butter on the bagel. For $17.. Great place, great coffee! Just not great bagels.

Great find! This cafe is away from the hustle of the Main Street, but has plenty of foot traffic for people watching. The coffee is delicious and so is the food. This place specializes in bagels - I’m not a huge fan of bagels, but I thought this is the time to have them. Honestly the best bagels I have ever had! Not too dense, just perfect! Highly recommend this place for a nice casual meal or your mid morning pick-me-up.

Friday Soulva special was terrible for the money at $19. We were served a plate with 2 quarters of a flat bread, bit of salad and inedible meat. The meat was tough, dry, overcooked, filled with sinew and fat. We gave feedback to the waitress and she said she didn't know as she hasn't tried it. Comes back and asks if we want another a little later. We said alright if it's not chewy, pretty much spat most of it out. She came back with just a bowl of meat after taking our plate away which still had salad on it. They obviously have no idea of genuine service and are in it for the money grab. Will never be back as it was one of our worst lunches ever.

Thanks for your offer Michael. I did express my dissatisfaction there and then and just got slumped a bowl of similar meat. Most cafes would deliver a fresh plate or offer to refund or address the issue immediately and not wait for a bad review online. The manager or owner would generally follow-up on the issue. I normally don't post bad reviews either but the whole experience was cold and unlike anything we've experienced before. We do dine out a fair bit and understand cafes do it tough with hardworking owners. I felt If there was a genuine concern on your part you would have offered it there and then and not wait for a bad review then try and fix it. Let's bed honest, if I didn't write a review you wouldn't even have bothered to offer a refund. Good public relations on your part. We just learn from it and not go back. It's a competitive industry, we just spend our money elsewhere. Maybe look at the type of meat you use and your...

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and Long Wait Times

We had a very frustrating experience at the Food & Wine Festival. My 16-year-old son waited over 1 hour and 20 minutes for a single bagel – only to be completely forgotten. In the end, the staff refunded the item but never actually gave it to him.

What’s most frustrating is that there were six missed orders, and instead of pausing new ones, the staff just kept taking more. Why not stop for a moment to catch up and serve the people who had already been waiting so long?

To top it off, after all that waiting, he was still charged $8 for a small fruit salad he grabbed out of desperation because he was starving. It was such a letdown, especially for a festival that promotes itself as a food event. Poorly managed and incredibly...
