I don’t usually write bad reviews but I just had to this time because it was so bad. 3 of us ordered soft poached eggs , 2 with the big breakfast and mine just with bacon. We had heard the table next to us complaining amongst themselves about the eggs and were hoping ours were going to be ok. Our meals arrived and you could have bounced the over cooked eggs off the floor. The bacon was bland and the butter was that hard that it was impossible to spread. If one of the meals had been bad but the rest were ok then we would of just sucked it up and said nothing but all 3 meals were as we agreed the worst meals we have ever had in our lives. Hubby told the wait staff how hard and over cooked the eggs were and the chef said he would replace them. 10 minutes later after our toast etc had gone cold 6 new eggs arrived in one bowl and they weren’t much better. It was so disappointing that we left most of our meals on the table and left. I would have expected better from a place in the city.

We visited this restaurant twice during our trip and enjoyed our experience overall. Their scrambled eggs on toast were a delightful start to the day. The eggs were wonderfully moist, just as I prefer them, and the toast had the perfect level of crispness. Plus, the portion sizes were generous and filling. During lunch, however, the place was bustling with customers. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but found the chicken breast to be too dry and tough, making it difficult to bite into, which was a downside. Nevertheless, the overall experience was positive. The staff were friendly, and the use of QR codes for ordering was easy. The restaurant's location was ideal too.

We were served promptly by staff when we arrived for dinner. The restaurant is very reasonably priced which was very good to see. We ordered bruschetta, side of steam vegetables and two steals. The food came out at a reasonable time considering the number of people at the restaurant. Steaks were cooked medium rare and medium were close enough to on the spot. Shame the fat on the steak wasn't rendered well. I'd recently had an amazing steak so the bar was set high. Overall this is still a fantastic place to visit for you're in Brisbane City and need a very reasonably priced meal.

I recently visited Mr.Edward’s Alehouse & Kitchen and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The menu offered a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity of the culinary presentations. Each bite was a delightful surprise, making it evident that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into their creations.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. I never felt rushed, and they checked in regularly to make sure everything was to my liking. Their genuine warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

The cafe's ambiance added to the overall appeal. The background and vibe were inviting and cozy, with a tasteful decor that combined modern and rustic elements. The lighting was just right, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere that made it a perfect spot to unwind. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a quiet meal alone, catch up with friends, or even have a casual business meeting, Mr.Edward’s Alehouse & Kitchen offers the perfect setting.

The music was also a nice touch, not too loud, allowing for easy conversation. The seating was comfortable, and the layout was thoughtfully designed to provide a sense of privacy without feeling isolated. Overall, the vibe of the place was great, making it an ideal destination for a variety of occasions.

I highly recommend Mr.Edward’s Alehouse & Kitchen for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. It's clear that a lot of effort goes into making every visit a memorable one, and I look forward to returning soon. If you haven't been to Mr.Edward’s Alehouse & Kitchen yet, you're missing out on a truly...

Super disappointed. I had come here a few years ago for a work lunch and it was fabulous so was keen to book after the recent fun run in Brisbane. Unfortunately, we got there and didn’t seem like my booking was written down but they found us a couple tables which was good. But. Half the menu was missing on the ordering website with no mention of it from staff until we asked where the eggs were - apparently they had run out and gone to get more. So we ordered on the website and settled for things we didn’t want. Our food took about 45 mins (longer for some) and even longer for coffees (apparently cocktail girl had called in sick so barista was doing both). Going to the bar got you quicker drinks than the website which should have been communicated. One friend left and got a refund as it was taking too long. I don’t believe we got a single apology from staff. Avo toast was not good - tasted terrible. My friend added feta and got ONE SLICE WITH AVO AND ONE WITH A SPREAD OF FETA?? So bizarre. Biggest issue was communication. No waiting times were given, no apologies, no information about the menu. And they actually weren’t completely full and knew an event was on so should not have had such a long wait. Super disappointed and now I have 9 other friends who will also never...

It’s nice when a business can receive feedback gracefully and come up with solutions, and I think that is likely the case here. The staff are friendly, they have a curated selection of decent beers, and both the buffalo wings and macaroni cheese were tasty. I’ll be back to try more beers and food after this positive experience. Plenty of fresh air outside with chill tunes, and indoor seating if needed.

I decided to go back after my discussion with staff regarding my experiences last time to see if they were truely going to change, and the half price drinks deal seems to no longer exist, and instead a new deal with food plus drink is available instead. I think this provides much better clarity to the customer, and really deals with the risk of overcharging. Mistakes get made, and they grew from it. I’m not sure you can ask for much more than this in an establishment, but kudos to the team here acting on feedback.

I have seen complaints about access for the physically challenged, and I believe these have also been addressed although I recommend reaching out to them to utilise their best entry point, I’m sure they’ll be only to glad to help. I do think they care about a good customer...
